Follow Your Dreams...

I made this one a while back, to submit for a publication, and it didn't get picked up.  Over the years, I've tried a few times, and it really is hard when you LOVE something you've made, but it just doesn't "fit" in the scheme of things the publication is looking for.  BUT -- I will keep submitting as I can, as I would love to be "in print" someday! :)

I cut a rainbows-worth (and then some) of cardstock with the Butterfly die from Papertrey Ink, and layered them into one, beautiful VERY dimensional butterfly, with a sparkly jeweled trail behind it :).

What are you dreams?  Winning the lotto, and retiring?  Going skydiving? Being a parent? Getting married?  I would love to hear.

Having a great weekend, hope you are, too!!  Thanks for popping by!

Supplies:
Stamps: Fillable Frames #3 (PTI)
Ink: Memento Black
Paper: Raspberry Fizz, Pure Poppy, Orange Zest, Summer Sunrise, Harvest Gold, Simply Chartreuse, Ripe Avocado, New Leaf, Hawaiian Shores, Spring Rain, Blueberry sky, Plum Pudding, Royal Velvet, Select White (all PTI)
Accessories: Butterfly Die (PTI), Doodlebug gems, paper piercer, corner rounder punch, pop-dots

  1. This card is so pretty! With all the rain we have been getting and not seeing the sun too much, this is a bright spot on a gloomy day! Thanks for the rainbow!

  17. I really hope that your dream has been realized and that this card has already made it into print! This is an amazing creation and one that should be honored and appreciated! I know I appreciate it as it has inspired me to make my own version of this card! Don't give up on your dreams and please let us know when this one is achieved! Thanks for sharing in the meantime! As for my dreams, winning the lottery (or receiving any large sum of money) sure would be nice as it would definitely help to achieve most of my other dreams, like (in no particular order) riding a zip line through any Caribbean country, owning a new BMW, taking a helicopter ride, finishing the last 5 of the 50 states, etc...

  18. A truly pretty example of CAS. It is hard to break into print but a friend of mine did it recently. You just have to keep on keeping on trying.

  24. Hey can I buy a few of these from you? I am getting married soon and I would love a few of these for my bridal party and scrap book. Or even just one for my scrap book. It goes perfectly with my theme. Rainbow, butterflies and jewels.
