<br />
I generally try to be an upbeat person - find that silver lining, what you put out to the world, you get back... you know? I've been fighting this silly upper respiratory thing for a few weeks now, and I'm just getting WORN OUT - some of that 'find that silver lining' stuff is getting lost...<br />
<br />
So I needed a recharge. <br />
<br />
Last night, my husband took my older daughter to basketball practice... this is new for us. Are there any other basketball moms out there? Tell me if there is certain basketball etiquette I need to know ;). <br />
<br />
But anyway, they were out of the house, it was just me, my 8 year old and the puppy. Decided to make myself a nice hot cup of tea with honey, in my favorite "<a href="http://www.justdandystudio.com/collections/mugs/products/mug-rise-smile">Rise and Smile</a>" mug from <a href="http://www.justdandystudio.com/">Just Dandy Studio</a>, and get some snuggles in...<br />
<br />

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiofuCPjTPDJ_Hhdl_F5_Q02Ui9Zs3CEyFDUWXYdEmCzGhy0_G_r7KYRbMi7wTxy84ykA32z5QbRP8IrShZjIZ_BfJhO5wQq5iP66uZk0x2L_N6_pEny3grtO5lW52iFx6BQNDIINudD6xG/s1600/IMG_9418.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiofuCPjTPDJ_Hhdl_F5_Q02Ui9Zs3CEyFDUWXYdEmCzGhy0_G_r7KYRbMi7wTxy84ykA32z5QbRP8IrShZjIZ_BfJhO5wQq5iP66uZk0x2L_N6_pEny3grtO5lW52iFx6BQNDIINudD6xG/s320/IMG_9418.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
So, it's been a crazy ride since 2015 began. My mom passed away in January, somewhat unexpectly, and it seems everyone I know has had something major happen to them this year. I often remind myself that while I don't understand it, there's a plan at work here that is bigger than me. I've learned this year that some things just aren't worth getting worked up over. I've learned that there are things I would like to change, and am working on it. You grow from every experience, right?<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Well, sometimes you just have a day where you have so many hopes and plans, and then.....</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
So I started out the day like this:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjsT5TlPJzCnkVXuYlOALMT5uaTjHhGRsXQhdcNW0dklpzRBVAIHVpaYhqAJfzQB7Gw98dkNIEK9_t-uGR4Oj81-CrdVzgQdsfUD3P0YsHJ7aO91vgNTLoIqspBwjyXU44TgS-pZEQYJCor/s1600/IMG_9415.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjsT5TlPJzCnkVXuYlOALMT5uaTjHhGRsXQhdcNW0dklpzRBVAIHVpaYhqAJfzQB7Gw98dkNIEK9_t-uGR4Oj81-CrdVzgQdsfUD3P0YsHJ7aO91vgNTLoIqspBwjyXU44TgS-pZEQYJCor/s320/IMG_9415.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Who here doesn't love coffee??? Alright, I suppose there are some of you out there, but this is how I need to start my day. Then I went out to my desk, and it looked like this:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjinoymM2Px2DyN91eCP70tc_m9zklpiTAC3BDzWIGZbKfom00__t08H4nh39f3Yaoknn_ZS_Zp0KNABq-2gmvZD-FfAaIbDuoTpzkJM7RW_epvtX6J2sRo7S1fWLb4UjlVAUw6zE-U6W9u/s1600/IMG_9424.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjinoymM2Px2DyN91eCP70tc_m9zklpiTAC3BDzWIGZbKfom00__t08H4nh39f3Yaoknn_ZS_Zp0KNABq-2gmvZD-FfAaIbDuoTpzkJM7RW_epvtX6J2sRo7S1fWLb4UjlVAUw6zE-U6W9u/s320/IMG_9424.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div>
Yeah. Keepin' it real. An absolute disaster area! So I began to clean it up and this happened:<br />
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnTAF6-8PX8-1dQOwcPCOiWLPqOxKxYJCP5b-KjfbMCnzLgFoUmdU8v1yOXCWMZ2x3tXE_HB-UfayEdFPESQ843z1S219JQKm2zFqjP9ruWIWI1wrlqI-pLPRO5ehuV1TqRsLcTZe-Xzhw/s1600/IMG_9408.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnTAF6-8PX8-1dQOwcPCOiWLPqOxKxYJCP5b-KjfbMCnzLgFoUmdU8v1yOXCWMZ2x3tXE_HB-UfayEdFPESQ843z1S219JQKm2zFqjP9ruWIWI1wrlqI-pLPRO5ehuV1TqRsLcTZe-Xzhw/s320/IMG_9408.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
My little one wound up with a fever, and needed some ever important cuddles... Then this happened:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjDeyvJZ1UOkW9LEoD4wJ3vI7KsHY7GBRiNF7TRjlPAjO_nMWXXy_mMbGIgQEADV1W05SWOPYqJf39XCA6-rfWwLJ5D8y_mbljouTgmixfEc2Acb3mCRbjwZUS4fiDwzwe8MwPtP7KmazKf/s1600/IMG_9396.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjDeyvJZ1UOkW9LEoD4wJ3vI7KsHY7GBRiNF7TRjlPAjO_nMWXXy_mMbGIgQEADV1W05SWOPYqJf39XCA6-rfWwLJ5D8y_mbljouTgmixfEc2Acb3mCRbjwZUS4fiDwzwe8MwPtP7KmazKf/s320/IMG_9396.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This, is Zana - also known as Zany Zana. She is our puppy! We have had her a little over 3 weeks now. But yes, if you've ever had a puppy, you know that they often require more attention than a newborn! She's a great pup, but often takes me off task....a lot! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjYUAloG08LIvUmTuuoy8M1FjKrH0A6hxCQzLuO72xV9I7-ABcyvTTzB1vf3K7MQxP75SL3wWDesdUkkUnoit26xzxq1neHu7L6ENbUCjzIx2oMsZ0WjrrO7YZExmsRatJV3oJg8XaX9TLQ/s1600/IMG_9417.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjYUAloG08LIvUmTuuoy8M1FjKrH0A6hxCQzLuO72xV9I7-ABcyvTTzB1vf3K7MQxP75SL3wWDesdUkkUnoit26xzxq1neHu7L6ENbUCjzIx2oMsZ0WjrrO7YZExmsRatJV3oJg8XaX9TLQ/s320/IMG_9417.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
It was. I was unexpectedly home in the middle of the week with my baby and my puppy, a beautiful, sunshiney day (and now I have "Sunshine Day" by The Brady Bunch in my head.... You're welcome ;) ) and then this happened:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjoTI2j5aH0lGv-YY4mwaxE612uvFYzOPREw9t2sOP-It-1Ps8HtvEJMlW-LJ_jyUtAwmSCayjvkzgk7DhT0cZMNmOOkmj9ggVAsyINf2QUGLrCGJPZxzFtBTxKA4hKsjC7R7O33w1_1ExG/s1600/IMG_9422.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjoTI2j5aH0lGv-YY4mwaxE612uvFYzOPREw9t2sOP-It-1Ps8HtvEJMlW-LJ_jyUtAwmSCayjvkzgk7DhT0cZMNmOOkmj9ggVAsyINf2QUGLrCGJPZxzFtBTxKA4hKsjC7R7O33w1_1ExG/s320/IMG_9422.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Technology is awesome, isn't it? The ability to be practically anywhere with the WHOLE WORLD at your fingertips... But yeah, this also means, the ability to complete work from home...sometimes it's a blessing, sometimes, not so much. So, I got some work done, and this happened: </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-PVedhJCS9gAGtxLVFKN4_6LdegSWpRoMwbmQq2re0tB7MLwIsjLdc8tyvMx4cauvpaanvJIYpkJEFs0JODpj6CS1nZlkAPpNaWRBH9AxxICwuN37J1n8MU7RdGcub-4W-rjayHTLMofj/s1600/IMG_9428.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-PVedhJCS9gAGtxLVFKN4_6LdegSWpRoMwbmQq2re0tB7MLwIsjLdc8tyvMx4cauvpaanvJIYpkJEFs0JODpj6CS1nZlkAPpNaWRBH9AxxICwuN37J1n8MU7RdGcub-4W-rjayHTLMofj/s320/IMG_9428.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
yes, again. Not only do I love coffee, it helps me power through the day sometimes. By now, my older daughter is off the bus, the dog needs to go for a walk and the off to the vet. Dinner has to be cooked, older daughter to taekwondo, and then this happened: </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhMrHev_y01ntHXBAahDI40Wj2XOq9LdqITiQfrTVGBcGxSYLehdEV8FVrqx0ts3vvSFzJHvIxGzX0agG1JREzacChRyTRfMbpuDwUKiitO4sdoyeNniXAtsN5Z7-V0GVzzhud-ydKH_zb-/s1600/IMG_9455.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhMrHev_y01ntHXBAahDI40Wj2XOq9LdqITiQfrTVGBcGxSYLehdEV8FVrqx0ts3vvSFzJHvIxGzX0agG1JREzacChRyTRfMbpuDwUKiitO4sdoyeNniXAtsN5Z7-V0GVzzhud-ydKH_zb-/s320/IMG_9455.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
It was a beautiful evening in our little town. My phone could not capture the beauty of the landscape and the moon that night, but I tried anyway :). We headed home, my desk still looked like this:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPe8VSy7mcyZ8W7X4a5QA88LoB_iFQak0mm7PS6MbOe4TYCn8807g8Z1IkVSFtYTZdk-lmBcKufErHGmWy8KRio_j8_alG54LfUqZGDCfkQdobqzoT71v9dDZO17isRwXHooNEwE-n9yzY/s1600/IMG_9424.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPe8VSy7mcyZ8W7X4a5QA88LoB_iFQak0mm7PS6MbOe4TYCn8807g8Z1IkVSFtYTZdk-lmBcKufErHGmWy8KRio_j8_alG54LfUqZGDCfkQdobqzoT71v9dDZO17isRwXHooNEwE-n9yzY/s320/IMG_9424.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
So then, this happened:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEij12AC31GxZHIBrCRSxKnibDGBqQ583FubyyTtOycxHlA4AGLUxHyUa2snuwHWmPrkw9p3gDuPYorNDhmggeuUew4tfVyqZ731zs2UT8lFaN0-XSVnU2S8TVpPXduRsWu3Jo14Q1gNOhPq/s1600/IMG_9414.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEij12AC31GxZHIBrCRSxKnibDGBqQ583FubyyTtOycxHlA4AGLUxHyUa2snuwHWmPrkw9p3gDuPYorNDhmggeuUew4tfVyqZ731zs2UT8lFaN0-XSVnU2S8TVpPXduRsWu3Jo14Q1gNOhPq/s320/IMG_9414.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Decaf this time though...I can't do all nighters anymore, after my kids, my husband and my coffee, I love my sleep ;). Read to the girls, got them tucked in, looked around, THOUGHT about cleaning the desk, and instead, THIS happened:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Nothing like a big fat pile of Laundry to fold at 9:30! But hey, I've got clean clothes to wear, right? Yeah, it didn't work when I said it to myself either. When I finished the laundry, I had decided that it was time for this to happen: </div>

I've been a fan of Melissa's style for years, when she was designing stamps, and now that she's started this new venture, I'm excited to see what is coming next! Bright, cheery, coffee and fun! <div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I am a HUGE coffee fan, I definitely drink more than I should, but it's so warm, creamy, mmmmmmm, happiness in a cup! Super fun that Melissa has <a href="http://www.justdandystudio.com/collections/mugs/products/mug-rise-smile">this great mug </a>up for sale, and I have a feeling there are more to come!</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
It's a GORGEOUS sunny day here in NY, and I happen to be home from work, because my 7 year old is sick with a virus. (I certainly don't mind the snuggles from her AND our puppy who joined our family a little less than 3 weeks ago. Her name is Zana, and we're totally in love!! (Check out my Instagram account for photos of her!). </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I also put together a little something using the<a href="http://www.justdandystudio.com/collections/cards/products/inspiring-quote-cards-collection-1"> Inspiring Quote Cards - Collection 1</a> :</div>

Love the bold font with such great messages! And they're perfect to add to a card front, or tuck it into your husband's pocket with a note, your kids' backpacks, really, there's no limit! I'll have some more to share in days to come, but in the meantime, thanks for stopping by!!!</div>

It's pretty amazing, how easy it can be to neglect writing new posts. Today, I am sharing a card I made for one of my nephews. I saw a similar design (and I apologize, because I now can not find the original source) and I thought it would be a great 'boy' design. <br />
<br />
I pulled out my papers, inks, stamps and dies and got myself ready to create a masterpiece! Alright, well, maybe not a MASTERPIECE, but the birthday boy liked it, so all good in my eyes :). <br />
<br />
I started out with a Tropical Teal base, if you've never used Papertrey Ink's Cardstock, it is heavenly - nice and thick and sturdy, love it! On the white layer, I stamped some images from <a href="https://www.papertreyink.com/stamps/grunge-me-stamp-set/">Grunge Me</a> in Kraft ink, to anchor the focal point.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxbOO43Vy6ii2_DdT7yrS1mS_C8EIA_v_hL95yO27uRhkpOZhmlUg9bD4b0FiSVnT5Sti4epaoQ-dkfoDTLgZAatsSJxxKgZ7pBSQkQK5FYxhCy4BFejgN59TUWJOmSKR47jkLedCj7-hQ/s1600/DSC_0091.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxbOO43Vy6ii2_DdT7yrS1mS_C8EIA_v_hL95yO27uRhkpOZhmlUg9bD4b0FiSVnT5Sti4epaoQ-dkfoDTLgZAatsSJxxKgZ7pBSQkQK5FYxhCy4BFejgN59TUWJOmSKR47jkLedCj7-hQ/s1600/DSC_0091.jpg" height="640" width="520" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Next, I die cut some stars using the <a href="https://www.papertreyink.com/pti-dies/papertrey-ink-sketched-stars-die-collection-set-of-3/">Sketched Stars dies</a>, in a few different colors (Hawaiian Shores, Simply Chartreuse, and Tropical Teal), and on top of that, I placed a Kraft star, stamped with images from <a href="https://www.papertreyink.com/stamps/star-prints-stamp-set/">Star Prints</a>, die cut with the <a href="https://www.papertreyink.com/pti-dies/papertrey-ink-seeing-stars-die-collection-set-of-3/">Seeing Stars dies</a>.<br />
<br />
To add my sentiment, I used the 3 colors of ink that coordinated with the die cut stars, and made an 'ombre effect' on the 'happy' from <a href="https://www.papertreyink.com/stamps/wet-paint-stamp-set/">Wet Paint</a> - and finished off the sentiment with True Black ink.<br />
<br />
Off to another birthday party today -- with a family as big as ours, we're BOUND to be headed off to a party on any given weekend, lol... Thanks for stopping by!!!<br />
<br />

LOOOOOONG time no see! It's been one heck of a year. Some good, some bad, but it's ALL flying by! I've made some cards here and there throughout the year, but most haven't made it here to the blog, but check out my Instagram account, they usually at very least make it there :). (link is in the upper right of the screen)<br />
<br />
I came by to share this card with you that I made this past weekend. My neighbor is turning 7, and wanted an Alice in Wonderland party. I thought long and hard, and the idea hit me! How about a card with the Cheshire Cat?? You know, when we first meet him, in the dark?? YUP! I can do that! lol. I broke out my punches, and my large circle nestabilities, and got to work. Here's the front -- the sentiment is from Papertrey Ink's Stylish Sentiments: Birthday.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjD2J6kiaT1l1GaJm7bRZdCGvcqxNSmyl8_kdeU9GuQYzLW4QrFi-_w8-pzNWuGfjz48wpp0s6OKDOz4-L3fhm5qEy6DHexs5z0D5jHOuNpIGfgi5XLlRP1UEhVAv7_YHKl6BWeJpIlv6cI/s1600/DSC_0864.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjD2J6kiaT1l1GaJm7bRZdCGvcqxNSmyl8_kdeU9GuQYzLW4QrFi-_w8-pzNWuGfjz48wpp0s6OKDOz4-L3fhm5qEy6DHexs5z0D5jHOuNpIGfgi5XLlRP1UEhVAv7_YHKl6BWeJpIlv6cI/s1600/DSC_0864.jpg" height="481" width="640" /></a></div>
Ok, so that came out kind of cute -- used a thin line black marker to draw his teeth. Next, on to the inside! I drew his tail freehand on an old piece of Orchid Opulence CS from SU!, and cut it out, then added some strips of Rich Razzleberry (Also SU!) to make the stripes on his tail. The sentiment inside are cut from various Papertrey Ink Dies. This has GOT to be one of my favorite cards that I have made recently...just fun.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_zXhLS6gZ3tfMJ9_uqWwNryp2zaGkjX4TLIGcTT3YnYTXRNoLD1T9UwqlaiRT5G8juf9uYRSCrTkbrNbCj7IjxOKc7XcbCk1svC-u4ncxtzaeYgwRrQvk8NTwvrcYIsrVgj7OHL3ST4vB/s1600/DSC_0870.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_zXhLS6gZ3tfMJ9_uqWwNryp2zaGkjX4TLIGcTT3YnYTXRNoLD1T9UwqlaiRT5G8juf9uYRSCrTkbrNbCj7IjxOKc7XcbCk1svC-u4ncxtzaeYgwRrQvk8NTwvrcYIsrVgj7OHL3ST4vB/s1600/DSC_0870.jpg" height="330" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
My girls each made something too - A made her card 2 months ago in anticipation of this day, so she was disappointed that hers wasn't Alice themed, but I thought she did a great job. The only thing I helped with was die cutting the '7'. <br />
<br />
This was the front:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijv3T1rqM-vKmkQ8cMaxUaj7o1yFBt3zita_PO4JnA2MxaXGzQQ6O8ex0-ATl49co6pd-yq79LDFUz4u7NW5WpRsZIV6kvC1lwcG-2mKgB1Ge81T1j3kOAg6yfgHhGQL13V2pgous-LVD5/s1600/DSC_0874.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijv3T1rqM-vKmkQ8cMaxUaj7o1yFBt3zita_PO4JnA2MxaXGzQQ6O8ex0-ATl49co6pd-yq79LDFUz4u7NW5WpRsZIV6kvC1lwcG-2mKgB1Ge81T1j3kOAg6yfgHhGQL13V2pgous-LVD5/s1600/DSC_0874.jpg" height="640" width="552" /></a></div>
<br />
And here is the back:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhx4sftG5jB1FGPkQOK8DirXCrJvAdNh1xBSyCviA9x5ZI48kxA96fv2t4Pk_1oj8NwaQv6OP37xcBVzA0vcsgQpmp7C-4GBByNmylUMaDQvFfetDNXCxFxYY7NzlqgQ8elZhuVOics6uIv/s1600/DSC_0875.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhx4sftG5jB1FGPkQOK8DirXCrJvAdNh1xBSyCviA9x5ZI48kxA96fv2t4Pk_1oj8NwaQv6OP37xcBVzA0vcsgQpmp7C-4GBByNmylUMaDQvFfetDNXCxFxYY7NzlqgQ8elZhuVOics6uIv/s1600/DSC_0875.jpg" height="640" width="524" /></a></div>
<br />
Lastly S made this one, to look like a playing card, another nod to the movie, and she colored the adorable Rio image from Simply Betty Stamps like Alice:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />

Wellllll, I'm back again today, because as soon as I saw<a href="http://reverseconfetti.com/2014/01/16/january-color-challenge/"> this color challenge over at Reverse Confetti</a>, I was in LOVE. Totally love this color combo!!!<br />

I've been playing around with my copics alot lately, and just wanted to do something bright and warm. It's been SO COLD here in NY, I thought of a nice Caribbean getaway...ahhhhhhhh....</div>

A little gold glitter sets off the 'shimmer' in the water...oh, to be in Grand Turk, lol....that's what this color of water reminds me of. Have you ever been there? It's gorgeous. I was fortunate enough to go on a cruise with my entire family the Summer before last, and Grand Turk was one of the stops. It was my favorite. I wish we had more time there than we did. Anyway - thanks Jen for this awesome color combo, and all of the inspiration. The sentiment is from <a href="http://reverseconfetti.com/shop/count-your-rainbows/">Count Your Rainbows</a>.<br />
<br />
What's your favorite vacation place? Snowy Colorado for skiing? Or someplace warm and sunny?? I'd love to hear! :)<br />
<br />
Hope you have a great week!<br />

Well heeelloooooooo there!<br />
<br />
We've had a CAH-RAAAYYYY- ZZZZYYY September! Between back to school routines, and birthdays, and weddings, we've been SUPER busy!! We were invited to 2 weddings, back to back weekends - and I'm POOPED! It was so nice this past weekend not to have to get all gussied up ;0).<br />
<br />
Anyway - for the first wedding (on Sept. 21) I thought I would share some of the things I helped the bride with -- They held their wedding in their back yard, it was rustic, elegant, and comfortable. I loved how nice it was, though it wasn't a great weather day.<br />
<br />
For the guests, everyone got a mason jar mug with a handle to drink from, which also served as their seating arrangement.<br />
<br />
The bride's friend made this great sign!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEimh38upQuxvtfna49of8xwLAuC6tICdiY_qT6lQWPCrLrnLXv8zlrJL43r3TDDWFBFNkEKpFiBhDEsaUR8sAwGN0Z7UzqNt_j5wWbfI_KfR_iaiXPSiDThmmH77_uNqTyBMXRsup7hDO15/s1600/DSC_0150.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="425" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEimh38upQuxvtfna49of8xwLAuC6tICdiY_qT6lQWPCrLrnLXv8zlrJL43r3TDDWFBFNkEKpFiBhDEsaUR8sAwGN0Z7UzqNt_j5wWbfI_KfR_iaiXPSiDThmmH77_uNqTyBMXRsup7hDO15/s640/DSC_0150.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Here are the mugs:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi5nQ9QO4ic4gYPYsqHZc1sxSOi2Rtzlc6R-45T1QKXatt5A31t6VLiqC2TOm1hKq7is8yEiYFhHZ4JO8ydA3D8AQ0bouaAH4pbRbi5Oz3sube_DTiO-1Qpd5CEime5UshKWvVlgWM7sz3I/s1600/DSC_0147.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="425" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi5nQ9QO4ic4gYPYsqHZc1sxSOi2Rtzlc6R-45T1QKXatt5A31t6VLiqC2TOm1hKq7is8yEiYFhHZ4JO8ydA3D8AQ0bouaAH4pbRbi5Oz3sube_DTiO-1Qpd5CEime5UshKWvVlgWM7sz3I/s640/DSC_0147.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I used my Cricut to cut out the chalkboard labels. Then 3 of us put the labels on all of the jars, and I wrote the names on allllllllll of the jars, while the other 2 cranked out a WHOLE LOTTA TAGS and a BAJILLION little numbers for the tags, it was a lot of effort, but I think they came out great! (Yes, the jars are wet, because it was POURING, and blowing in under the tent!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Here are the centerpieces, She cut each and every wine bottle, and I made the table numbers. They are in the shape of the plate on the front of a motocross bike, as that is one of the groom's favorite things to do. We used a popular 'racing font' for the numbers -- I made these with my Cricut and Sure Cuts A Lot (I haven't updated my machine, or the software, so I can still use it! yaaaaayyyy lol).</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Here's one of my favorite photos I took that day...I had NOTHING to do with this one, but wanted to point out that the flower in the bride's hair was made from her Mom's wedding dress, how cool is that?</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Oh - and I did make them a card... just in case you were thinking I didn't, lol. The girls' dresses were a teal green - more to the green side, but I didn't have anything closer than hawaiian shores, so...</div>

I used PTI's <a href="https://www.papertreyink.com/pti-dies/papertrey-ink-cover-plate-quatrefoil-die/">Quatrefoil Cover Plate die</a> to emboss the hawaiian shores layer - and accented it with flat back crystals. The sentiment is from <a href="https://www.papertreyink.com/stamps/beautiful-butterflies-stamp-set/">Beautiful Butterflies</a>. I loved the design so much, I incorporated it into the card for the other wedding as well.</span></span></div>

<br />
I've been really getting into the halloween spirit around here, starting to decorate, and think of costumes and such. How about you? I decided to use <a href="http://reverseconfetti.com/shop/spooky-cuties/">Spooky Cuties</a> and <a href="http://reverseconfetti.com/shop/spooky-sentiments/">Spooky Sentiments</a> for my card today. Last time, I used the cauldron for a pot of gold, but today, I used it for it's original intention, a bubbling pot of witch's brew. I used clear EP, and cut out the image on some dark gray CS. it's mounted with dimensionals. The sentiment is also heat embossed, and I used some peal accents for the 'bubbles'. For a little extra dazzle, I brought in that fun sparkly spider and web in the corner, I picked them up at M's the other day.<br />

<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Our servicemen and women can never hear these words enough. I learned earlier today of the death of a soldier in Afghanistan whose hometown is not far from here, and it is always a reminder of how much these men and women are willing to give up for our freedom. I stamped and embossed the heart image on red, white, and blue CS, and then cut them free-hand. A little red and white twine finished this one off.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: inherit;">This next one is just sweet, fun, and totally simple.</span><br />

<span style="font-family: inherit;">And LAST, but not least - one more Halloween card, using Spooky Cuties and Spooky Sentiments:</span><br />

<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: inherit;">I made the scene on some purple CS, using the fence and little black cat images, embellished with a moon made from a circle punch, and some die cut teeny tiny stars, plus some stickles for a little extra twinkle. The 'October 31' was stamped and embossed on a little banner, and the numbers filled in with some more stickles. </span><br />

<br />
WHEW! It's been a while since I've worked a release liked this - so much fun! So grateful for the opportunity :)<br />
<br />
Here are today's peeks -- We're ALL about Halloween here. I decorate the house every Halloween, but not creepy gory scary -- fun halloween.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Not a GREAT picture, but we're not decorated yet, so I can't go out and take a new one ;). <br />
<br />
Here are the next new <a href="http://reverseconfetti.com/shop/">Reverse Confetti</a> sets we're sharing with you all today:<br />

<br />
SO cute, right?<br />
<br />
So here's my first card for today<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiOFfVjmsgT_sn3loPFwn4krnS8Qhq3RzB5XSW28keAqINJvIrZOgQkhUUHQ502L6rks9bcatkOlGlqRGJr9ziIuGMs22x0nVgFvIf1EvqSPgBWM9xCN9HQtsIPxdmbvNKPTlTAA0rqi9lD/s1600/SC3.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="524" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiOFfVjmsgT_sn3loPFwn4krnS8Qhq3RzB5XSW28keAqINJvIrZOgQkhUUHQ502L6rks9bcatkOlGlqRGJr9ziIuGMs22x0nVgFvIf1EvqSPgBWM9xCN9HQtsIPxdmbvNKPTlTAA0rqi9lD/s640/SC3.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I had this idea in my head -- kind of like the spotlight idea...the middle pumpkin is in the spotlight, so you can see it all, the other two are in the dark, and can only see their glowing faces... The sentiment was embossed in white, and I colored over the words with my Copics.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

This one is loosely based on the latest <a href="http://reverseconfetti.com/2013/09/01/september-sketch-for-you-to-try/">Sketch for you to Try</a>. I made the orange background paper with a few of the sentiments from Spooky Sentiments, and the green strip used elements from both sets. That little ghost from Spooky Cuties is just that -- CUTE!<br />

Today, the stamp set being featured is Forever Fall, and I also used Lighthearted Letters:<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I've got 2 cards to share with you today - this first one also uses <a href="http://reverseconfetti.com/shop/ilikeyou/">I Like You</a>, but in a non-traditional way. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGAyS3_Ccu2R-Tv-XEwqrgS8Cj991CCnDtInYzFEAl0uOKhmV1XFBQTz1JPrdI6huDbwEKSd4SJyuxIvp4wRE1bIY5lG3Ok8YbL3bGfjE945liNZEqBxqWs4TuWppTebZjucQwZZWLDP-U/s1600/FF1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGAyS3_Ccu2R-Tv-XEwqrgS8Cj991CCnDtInYzFEAl0uOKhmV1XFBQTz1JPrdI6huDbwEKSd4SJyuxIvp4wRE1bIY5lG3Ok8YbL3bGfjE945liNZEqBxqWs4TuWppTebZjucQwZZWLDP-U/s640/FF1.jpg" width="560" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Do you see it? I used the line, and the dotted line images to make the pattern on the orange CS. I made a little mask for the pumpkin, and stamped the acorn next to it. Aren't those polka dots the cutest?? I think my favorite image in the set is the woodgrain though - you can't see it in this photo, but it has a cute heart shaped 'knot' in the wood. Love it. I seem to be using a lot of copper lately, so I dug out my old copper cording from SU! (do any of you still have yours?? I've got the gold and silver, too...I think I'll have them forever! - HA!) anyway, I wrapped it around several times, and tied it in a little bow.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Next up? My anniversary card! Done nice and early :) Luckily, my husband doesn't read my blog, so no spoilers here!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZTg-N6lVk2kw-yU9tBeYdOYThVu_9cT592QnCBKt78owpGRXpJ1EuzJNrhjfNahJZrfy2hLGUuDx6w0xy0gRiQ7Buazs7BKCiWufZeJnxi_ZW1irFlPanXIOmgrQ1bjcpng3G7gFQc8wF/s1600/FFLL.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZTg-N6lVk2kw-yU9tBeYdOYThVu_9cT592QnCBKt78owpGRXpJ1EuzJNrhjfNahJZrfy2hLGUuDx6w0xy0gRiQ7Buazs7BKCiWufZeJnxi_ZW1irFlPanXIOmgrQ1bjcpng3G7gFQc8wF/s640/FFLL.jpg" width="512" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Now for this one, I started with a base of a golden yellow CS, and used my Copics and airbrush to make the background from red to orange to yellow (though I must say, I think I need a compressor -- the air cans get too cold, and the air doesn't work right! :( ) BUT - I digress... I made the background, and then I cut the tree free-hand with my hobby blade. Took the tree and ran it through my CB with a wood-grain impression plate. I made the sign using the wood-grain stamp from Forever Fall, and letters from Lighthearted Letters. I really love that Jen included numbers and characters in the set as well! There's some of that copper cord again, too, draped over the branch to hold my sign. (kinda crazy to think I'll be married 14 years this year...clearly I'm not old enough for that!)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Here's a close up of the sign</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Can you see the heart shaped 'knot' in this one? really cute. I finished off the inside of this one - take a peek</div>

<br />
Can I just tell you how excited I am to be creating alongside the awesome design team at Reverse Confetti for the release this month? Well, I'm pret-ty darn excited! :) Lucky me, I was chosen as the 'Fetti Fave for July, and now I get to peek the new sets, too!<br />
<br />
The set featured today is called Count Your Rainbows, this will be available for purchase on September 8th from <a href="http://reverseconfetti.com/shop/">Reverse Confetti</a>. LOTS of fun sentiments in this one!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi9Lsd2bs9YfO1yJs7ahx4hZPw5Tv7OOMbSdLALHOlIm7kXMr38dHAwkRw3mvkf7pbmhZr2nyEz8VgmPa5kIn57nX6mkfBp_ZfstQPiOdjIRQoe4_xLEez8QngOmDndgxJFNmgCrqBFhYzw/s1600/CountYourRainbowsBlogGraphic.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi9Lsd2bs9YfO1yJs7ahx4hZPw5Tv7OOMbSdLALHOlIm7kXMr38dHAwkRw3mvkf7pbmhZr2nyEz8VgmPa5kIn57nX6mkfBp_ZfstQPiOdjIRQoe4_xLEez8QngOmDndgxJFNmgCrqBFhYzw/s400/CountYourRainbowsBlogGraphic.jpg" width="266" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
This first card uses what I think just may be my favorite sentiment in the set, and a little grouping of stars from<a href="http://reverseconfetti.com/shop/inner-rock-star/"> Inner Rock Star</a>. I kept it totally clean and simple.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_3IkMDMwl4nn2kzXgR01zx1WGfdgCJcDrAjKeEY7bAO3__5pjlfiPQvcjutX7eFcl1sEWFvF2fTx6LzNhY8-iO1RZgPwBwybDFkKBTS4evx1nVt4oUUrsPLhmH_Si1gvjeNJQyCJKE3Xe/s1600/CYR1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_3IkMDMwl4nn2kzXgR01zx1WGfdgCJcDrAjKeEY7bAO3__5pjlfiPQvcjutX7eFcl1sEWFvF2fTx6LzNhY8-iO1RZgPwBwybDFkKBTS4evx1nVt4oUUrsPLhmH_Si1gvjeNJQyCJKE3Xe/s640/CYR1.jpg" width="508" /></a></div>
<br />
Next up uses that awesome open letter 'Count' with some Copics. I heat emossed the sentiment using white ep, and colored in the letters using my RV04, RV17, and RV19 markers, to give a little ombre effect to the letters. I used the small circle numbers along the strip of raspberry cardstock for a little extra emphasis on the counting ;).<br />
<br />

<br />
<br />
Last, this is probably my favorite project I've made with this set yet. Yesterday was our first day of school, and time is flying. I can't believe how grown up my girls are getting!! I snapped this sweet shot of them waiting for the bus, and looking at it, I thought how lucky I am, and then... this was born:<br />

I made this little 6x6 scrapbook page of the girls, and how lucky and blessed we are that they are so smart, healthy, happy, beautiful and strong. I count these blessings twice :). This also incorporates the star image from <a href="http://reverseconfetti.com/shop/inner-rock-star/">Inner Rock Star</a>, my glittery girls needed some bling on this page!<br />

WHEW! What a CRAZY few weeks it's been! Running around like mad, but SO glad, at the very last minute, I was able to participate in<a href="http://prettypinkposh.com/2013/08/10-minute-craft-dash-birthday-bash.html"> the big birthday extravaganza over at the 10 minute Craft Dash</a>!<br />

<br />
So, this time around, we are to use a birthday theme, and keep it under 10 minutes... easy, right? One would think...I started one card, and after getting started, there was NO WAY I was going to complete the card in less than 10 minutes, and then realized I totally messed it up - so off to the garbage that one went, lol. BUT -- I did get to make this little ditty for the dash --<br />

I wanted something a little cleaner, with a pop of color - and all of the social networking buttons, etc. So, what do you think?? I found this great shop on Etsy - called <a href="http://www.etsy.com/shop/kreatedbykelsey1">Kreated by Kelsey</a> - and she had some pre-made designs that fit my wants. I didn't want to spend a ton on a facelift - and she was very reasonable!<br />
<br />
I still have some more tweaking to do, but having some friends over for dinner tonight - so it will be over the next few days I'm sure. I would love to know your thoughts -- do you like the new look?Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17859659537187889353noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5324714510412912012.post-995640627009234732013-07-27T15:38:00.001-04:002013-07-27T15:38:28.262-04:00Tuesday Trigger on Saturday!I was surfing around a bit earlier this week, and came across <a href="http://www.moxiefabworld.com/2013/07/tuesday-trigger-painterly-palette.html">the latest Tuesday Trigger</a> challenge, from MoxieFab blogger, Cath Edvalson. Check out this photo:<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I LOVE all of the fun color - and circles.... I went ahead and took the inspiration photo quite literally, and made this:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhOq-BII1AUWccNl3LMXUs8An5-1gTi7Xw7sSE0Qk_j09eZ6uSUIiX5JfneNYobG4f1VrBkCfrzZn7NGl2D19BAA_vPB2kiwBUqobK0j8RX44eZvPUU6dQBCPxeFMf_VBcLfUZLqV0wfwXB/s1600/TTTC727.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="307" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhOq-BII1AUWccNl3LMXUs8An5-1gTi7Xw7sSE0Qk_j09eZ6uSUIiX5JfneNYobG4f1VrBkCfrzZn7NGl2D19BAA_vPB2kiwBUqobK0j8RX44eZvPUU6dQBCPxeFMf_VBcLfUZLqV0wfwXB/s400/TTTC727.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
It kind of reminds me of a watercolor paint palette, I really love the transition from cool colors to warm colors. I used <a href="https://www.papertreyink.com/stamps/bitty-background-blocks-ii-stamp-set/">Bitty Background Blocks II</a> to give the circles a little more texture, and the sentiment is from <a href="https://www.papertreyink.com/stamps/trendy-tree-tops-stamp-set/">Trendy Tree Tops</a>.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I added a little bling, and that was it! A fun little card, I think. Thanks for popping by!</div>

I had such big plans to make numerous projects for this blog hop, and then last night it dawned on me that the hop was TODAY! I don't know about you, but Summer has been FLYING by! <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiBnRMoZ34WnYc7ApjNa7ERotpU4V0nVCUCIScFvCYlF2hZa_xGqLAKIDQce-H8-CbnHspSFdbADP_U6NA0IRnvaBYGTx2ZdPZ4KJYQWh0SyEnyRZjc0mI6969hyphenhyphenMQZ3-SJK7xvHtQgqw58/s1600/pti+bloghoplogo.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="132" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiBnRMoZ34WnYc7ApjNa7ERotpU4V0nVCUCIScFvCYlF2hZa_xGqLAKIDQce-H8-CbnHspSFdbADP_U6NA0IRnvaBYGTx2ZdPZ4KJYQWh0SyEnyRZjc0mI6969hyphenhyphenMQZ3-SJK7xvHtQgqw58/s400/pti+bloghoplogo.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div>
<br /><div>
Let's get down to business though, shall we??</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
This month's challenge was to use one of these wonderful color palettes posted on <a href="http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capture_the_moment/2013/07/july-2013-blog-hop-.html">Nichole's blog</a>. I chose this combo:</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjEkLkzxKI0BY6rdWDBV9XkXzCydQCquIOZfCUajUcH2zfo6NsFEv_4GNgcQ0dQ6zRH5zzhF_t-QOZxjd95Q7ltkn4NZ5KB1IkegXcEnMigm2PnZRm9LXyMcE4fywbLlUb6DF2fwqq6nlDq/s1600/PTI+Inspiration713.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="347" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjEkLkzxKI0BY6rdWDBV9XkXzCydQCquIOZfCUajUcH2zfo6NsFEv_4GNgcQ0dQ6zRH5zzhF_t-QOZxjd95Q7ltkn4NZ5KB1IkegXcEnMigm2PnZRm9LXyMcE4fywbLlUb6DF2fwqq6nlDq/s400/PTI+Inspiration713.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I have to admit, Melon Berry is not a color I use often. Not sure why, but it's just not a color I run to, unlike Hawaiian Shores, or Raspberry Fizz (two of my all time faves!) so this really was a challenge for me. Unfortunately I needed a Sympathy card, I really should make a few to have on hand, but I guess since it's my least favorite card to have to make, I don't want to make them when I'm playing around for fun, KWIM??</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Anyway, here's my card:</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgsigA6O80jaFvMcW4Wd1ExMvQ9boQU7v-WOI29AwDoxVIi2fXoHLCKButGpi9m7kQSNTxQUTlWaFYTxutEJC8SSzu-J0SwkQr94HiuVXwTWHiohftCPxy8EWkmTHQbVkeqlJvBI8Rh-Bfh/s1600/PTIBlogHop-Jul2013.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgsigA6O80jaFvMcW4Wd1ExMvQ9boQU7v-WOI29AwDoxVIi2fXoHLCKButGpi9m7kQSNTxQUTlWaFYTxutEJC8SSzu-J0SwkQr94HiuVXwTWHiohftCPxy8EWkmTHQbVkeqlJvBI8Rh-Bfh/s400/PTIBlogHop-Jul2013.jpg" width="322" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I used The Sweet Life, the small butterfly from Natural Beauties, and the sentiment is from Think Big Favorites #3. The sentiment was stamped once in Melon Berry, and then I offset slightly, and stamped it again, and embossed it in gold. I used Summer Sunrise and Harvest gold for the roses, and New Leaf (stamped off once for the base image) for the leaves. Can't wait to hop around and check out all of the entries! Have a great day!</div>

<br />
So the other day, I'm scrolling through my Facebook feed, and I see a link from a friend, requesting that her card-making friends consider making a card for Cadence. I clicked on the link, to see what it was about. You see, Cadence is a beautiful little almost 7 year old girl, and just a few weeks ago, her whole life was turned upside down. She was in a car accident, with the rest of her family, and she was the only one who survived. She lost her Mom, her Dad, and her 2 year old little sister. Every time I think about it, I cry. I just don't get it. SO - today I sat down to make a card for Cadence. I needed a place to start from. I chose to use <a href="http://deconstructingjen.com/deconstructed-sketch-109/">this week's Deconstructed Sketch</a> (#109). <br />
<br />
I was inspired by<a href="http://treasureoilerdesignz.blogspot.com/2013/07/rainbows-of-life-ds109.html"> this awesome card by Dawn Easton</a>. So, I set off to make my own creation. I used Kraft for my background layer, clear embossed using my Background Basics: Herringbone stamp set. Then I cut 3/4" strips of Berry Sorbet, Summer Sunrise, Limeade Ice, Hawaiian Shores, and Winter Wistera (I also used the heart border die to cut a strip of hearts from the same colors). I glued the strips to the Kraft layer, and then adhered a piece of vellum CS over it (adhering it with glue behind the heart strips. Then I adhered the heart strips on top.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPXI_NiiI41Zy4BSv60zrsDORquL_-571-9muaueo-DL9pBalcjVSvUxwzHkRsqw-MQiu-NniLwzE_xxza5efzPFsMncscct1THcwdeMQfNo_Co7QIcWqxpocgQtEoOkOs6i-2yHHfrIjd/s1600/DCS109-TC.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPXI_NiiI41Zy4BSv60zrsDORquL_-571-9muaueo-DL9pBalcjVSvUxwzHkRsqw-MQiu-NniLwzE_xxza5efzPFsMncscct1THcwdeMQfNo_Co7QIcWqxpocgQtEoOkOs6i-2yHHfrIjd/s400/DCS109-TC.jpg" width="350" /></a></div>
<br />
I die cut a piece of select white CS with the scalloped circle from the Limitless Layers Circle 1.75" dies, and stamped a sentiment from Birthday Bash Sentiments in Smokey Shadow ink. To finish off the sentiment, I used the tiny heart image from Teach & Inspire and stamped them in a rainbow pattern above and below the sentiment. Attached a Hawaiian Shores felt flower, and used a fun jeweled embellishment from Jolie's Boutique. (Purchased at Michael's)<br />
<br />
I plan to pop this in the mail on Monday, it should get there in time for Cadence's birthday on 7/23. If you would like to send a card -- here is a Facebook page that includes the information, and some more pictures of this sweet little girl. www.facebook.com/cardsforcadence<br />
<br />
Thanks for stopping by...<br />

Happy Hump Day!!!! So glad it's Wednesday! It's been a rough week so far, but how awesome was it, when I got home and found NEW STAMPS in my mailbox?? I'll tell you.... VERY awesome. Just got my <a href="http://reverseconfetti.com/shop/inner-rock-star/">new stamps from Reverse Confetti</a>, and thought the current <a href="http://prettypinkposh.com/2013/07/10-minute-craft-dash-21.html">Craft Dash Challenge</a> to incorporate stars would be a great one to use them on.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0yOj_w7xTXv1Na-PJpcRepA5qiPkk-_LAt28yBxG5bjPvf9dcmMPtiaXPubDAApcjimEtYvW60MOaqFJVRc0ugP4rKVJjEmkujCDkBk8xpJlszZSLx_vp27iYd0zlWgjeKqD4q78L-QTN/s1600/CD_21.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="185" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj0yOj_w7xTXv1Na-PJpcRepA5qiPkk-_LAt28yBxG5bjPvf9dcmMPtiaXPubDAApcjimEtYvW60MOaqFJVRc0ugP4rKVJjEmkujCDkBk8xpJlszZSLx_vp27iYd0zlWgjeKqD4q78L-QTN/s320/CD_21.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
It also happens to be the <a href="http://colorthrowdown.blogspot.com/2013/07/five-years-color-throwdown-250.html">5 year anniversary of the Color Throwdown</a> - so I went ahead and grabbed their summery color scheme, which also makes me think of the 50's... aqua, pink, and yellow...aaahhhh :).<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9p01Zxjc_f2vMxNUEBOCcIO0wLtFhfKxHt_-wHDa7I8dAERH_OSPHmQMM-vxA7ZCWysyOoC72piVarY8i-eDC8Kff1oWcEOnvFh7wvEbJRBW40taj6kk4Sl2aeQO3muyW3b8cqZB5t9IH/s1600/swatch+250.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="236" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9p01Zxjc_f2vMxNUEBOCcIO0wLtFhfKxHt_-wHDa7I8dAERH_OSPHmQMM-vxA7ZCWysyOoC72piVarY8i-eDC8Kff1oWcEOnvFh7wvEbJRBW40taj6kk4Sl2aeQO3muyW3b8cqZB5t9IH/s320/swatch+250.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
What could have been cooler in the 50's than Rock 'n' Roll??<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi3pB9haRyM10s5T3fW9zSAmeQKDPu7Tgz8wlSE7xmrBvY-ny24_0l5Qv8Zm6mQjkpkFTg3qQSoBUL3kk4ASy-NHUwwRXpDFz1ep50rw9W6HFbGXsIai7TcgXIQqVr9BW9kM_GtQl5nMbmx/s1600/Craft-Dash-21TC-CT-RC.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi3pB9haRyM10s5T3fW9zSAmeQKDPu7Tgz8wlSE7xmrBvY-ny24_0l5Qv8Zm6mQjkpkFTg3qQSoBUL3kk4ASy-NHUwwRXpDFz1ep50rw9W6HFbGXsIai7TcgXIQqVr9BW9kM_GtQl5nMbmx/s400/Craft-Dash-21TC-CT-RC.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Used the star image to make my background, and there are also little stars in the centers of the records...cute, right? I used my white glaze pen to make the 'shine' marks on the records.<br />
<br />
When my husband and I were house hunting, there was this cute little house that was all brick on the outside, but boy was it 50's on the inside!! Formica everywhere, and it was robin's egg blue and yellow! The kitchen was super retro, and if it wouldn't have been priced so high, I would have LOVED to have gotten this place, and updated the rest of the house around the awesome old kitchen. It was begging to have a rotary dial phone on the wall, too.<br />
<br />
I grew up listening to 50's music, so whenever I hear a certain song, it brings me back to my childhood - lots of good memories :).<br />
<br />
OH! and before I forget -- here's my time :) CLOSE one!<br />
<br />

A great day -- very thankful for those who gave us a reason to celebrate! I hope you are off from work, and having fun today. I had gotten<a href="http://www.waltzingmousestamps.com/products/usa-1776"> these</a> awesome stamps and <a href="http://www.waltzingmousestamps.com/products/usa-1776-cut-files">cut files</a> from Waltzingmouse Stamps a few weeks ago, and I just couldn't wait to make this card. It's been in my head, and waiting for the right moment. I was totally inspired by <a href="http://aschoss.blogspot.co.uk/2013/05/waltzingmouse-stamps-may-release-day-2.html">Anya's card</a>.<br />
<br />
Not only is today America's birthday, it's also the birthday of a long time friend of mine. I've known her since I was 12, so it's been....eeerrrrr, uhhhh, mmmmm...well, it's been a long time ;). Anyway, I always thought it was pretty cool that her birthday is on the 4th of July, I mean, fireworks for your birthday...like EVERY year?? lol.<br />
<br />
Sooooooo - it's Amanda's birthday, and it's the 4th of July...so I should make a card for Amanda. Here it is....<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh31TdrUXQLNQ_ZiZr_sG4R2yuZ02oMmv1XPEX9BS0HRBjjReHXuOHlh9ytNGrWOEkRpK9VicmaM3fdX-7Qxr7BYvpworgkHsqN41AlJYTl3Ulh3xWJxyObzxVpA3kQ69-ZHI7M28yhyS6b/s1600/ARBirthday13.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh31TdrUXQLNQ_ZiZr_sG4R2yuZ02oMmv1XPEX9BS0HRBjjReHXuOHlh9ytNGrWOEkRpK9VicmaM3fdX-7Qxr7BYvpworgkHsqN41AlJYTl3Ulh3xWJxyObzxVpA3kQ69-ZHI7M28yhyS6b/s400/ARBirthday13.jpg" width="330" /></a></div>
<br />
I think this may be the most favorite card I've ever made. Not sure if it's the sense of pride I have of being from New York, the USA, or just that these cut files and fireworks stamps are just SO DARN COOL! <br />
<br />
The fireworks images were stamped in gold or platinum inks, and embossed with either gold tinsel or hologram highlights embossing powder (I think the hologram one was retired by SU! - but I think you can still get gold tinsel in M's) The background was airbrushed with my Copics...I LOVE the background.<br />
<br />
Lady Liberty, and the city skyline are cut files that Claire has made available -- SO cool. I used a sentiment from 1776, and then snagged the 'birthday' from one of my PTI sentiments.<br />
<br />
So - HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMANDA! Hope it's the start of a great year! (well, of course it will be, she's getting married in September! YAAAAAYYYY!) Happy 4th of July to all <3 p=""><br /><!--3--></3>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17859659537187889353noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5324714510412912012.post-65071220758358304642013-06-26T21:22:00.000-04:002013-06-26T21:24:14.481-04:00Craft Dash #20! Happy Summer!! Things are in full swing here this week - the girls started camp, and I AM NOT used to this new routine! I thought Summer was supposed to be relaxing...mmmmmmm...my days have gotten LONGER, and I'm pooped! lol. I'm sure once I'm used to the routine, it will get better...I hope. :)<br />
<br />
ANYHOO - I took a few minutes (literally!) for myself last night, and put something together for<a href="http://prettypinkposh.com/2013/06/10-minute-craft-dash-20.html"> the latest 10 Minute Craft Dash</a>. I have to say, I really do LOVE this challenge, because so many times I will start a project, and not have ANY idea where I'm going with it -- and then it takes FOREVER -- well, when you are doing the 10 minute craft dash, you don't have TIME for that, so you need a plan. Even at that, things don't always go as planned (like my last entry - I had issues with the size of the focal panel, so having to trim it cost me valuable time, and put me over) but more often than not, if you have a plan, you're good.<br />
<br />
Keep your idea realistic, even the most simple of designs can be time consuming. <br />
<br />
Here is the challenge graphic:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I totally LOVE these colors, by the way!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Here's my card:</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Is it my favorite card ever? no. But -I think it is clean and simple, it's got a great pop of color. The dimensionals I used were TOO big, in my opinion, popped a little too far off the page. Also, I had to hand cut the triangles, because the dies were out of stock, and I think that would have made a big difference, too. I like the texture of the sketched images on the triangles, and I think I might definitely try this again once I can get my hands on those dies, I might be more pleased with the outcome. BUT --Overall, still happy with it, quirks and all.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

Best of all -- I made time :)</div>

I am very lucky, as I have a wonderful husband who is an awesome dad. I also still have my dad here with me, and my father in law as well. My girls have two awesome Godfathers as well, sooooo that equals lots of Father's Day cards to be made!<br />
<br />
Luckily, Claire, over at Waltzingmouse Stamps, took a LOT of the guesswork out of cards for the guys this year! These first two are for my father-in-law and brother-in-law whom we saw yesterday. We're a fife and drum family, so all things patriotic always come to mind when I think of them. So I used the new <a href="http://www.waltzingmousestamps.com/products/usa-1776">1776</a> set, along with <a href="http://www.waltzingmousestamps.com/products/my-kind-of-guy">My Kind of Guy</a> to make these two.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjILYAhpqgM17J472jkrMpRc-IsujL3BZPrVBUNrMSD0bDddhqC8xHAp3wEzXicA8rCBoJ3sfQVZY8Wusos58Z9TChQL_KVJdDGMCKw8CdvnOzVKW9PAjkDbcXiCQSoted9YuVgVIdFiPxR/s1600/TC-Dom-n-Poppy-card.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="265" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjILYAhpqgM17J472jkrMpRc-IsujL3BZPrVBUNrMSD0bDddhqC8xHAp3wEzXicA8rCBoJ3sfQVZY8Wusos58Z9TChQL_KVJdDGMCKw8CdvnOzVKW9PAjkDbcXiCQSoted9YuVgVIdFiPxR/s400/TC-Dom-n-Poppy-card.jpg" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
Up next is the card I made for my husband, which I used My Kind of Guy and <a href="http://www.waltzingmousestamps.com/products/man-of-the-hour">Man of the Hour</a>.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjI4PJjCnmjY5-S6fPTwbb8eixkgumlMG8CyXRv_bFxV9tDNeq3-4bH701xh4pJF-V9rymE5F0XTnUV1AWmuptW-kjGOrS360ELySg-1s83sExeqx_FkCNTU3On4Lz0Aukws_92BQFLpTSj/s1600/TC-Nick-Card.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjI4PJjCnmjY5-S6fPTwbb8eixkgumlMG8CyXRv_bFxV9tDNeq3-4bH701xh4pJF-V9rymE5F0XTnUV1AWmuptW-kjGOrS360ELySg-1s83sExeqx_FkCNTU3On4Lz0Aukws_92BQFLpTSj/s400/TC-Nick-Card.jpg" width="318" /></a></div>
<br />
My girls each made their dad a card, as well, using the same sets... the first one is by my little one, and the next one by my big one :)<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjrTI3Eyr46ZBWmbDkSmk_c8xsiWr4m54GdV0srv68rfbLFHS7HXhp2Y0T91DKt0_aEmULkKPuMKZAZrs2NZzupieMIg1bbEEYS5tIH58qwnXoOCgV6IOxEQvrO3zMqqe3hPOQkXB33lgGy/s1600/AC-Card.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjrTI3Eyr46ZBWmbDkSmk_c8xsiWr4m54GdV0srv68rfbLFHS7HXhp2Y0T91DKt0_aEmULkKPuMKZAZrs2NZzupieMIg1bbEEYS5tIH58qwnXoOCgV6IOxEQvrO3zMqqe3hPOQkXB33lgGy/s400/AC-Card.jpg" width="356" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTtOV08sauF7seOikckedihnAVtr4RhPDHUVVCfdz0NJLXnkYE8fW91RF4jjI7x6kAWSDsQAWnBKFjYBirY8kY0mCT9G7SlI6l3mFfKe-uHN6SQ2d3lVLJjK_1T8kOWOoMJcs2QAC6NzNc/s1600/SC-Card.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhTtOV08sauF7seOikckedihnAVtr4RhPDHUVVCfdz0NJLXnkYE8fW91RF4jjI7x6kAWSDsQAWnBKFjYBirY8kY0mCT9G7SlI6l3mFfKe-uHN6SQ2d3lVLJjK_1T8kOWOoMJcs2QAC6NzNc/s400/SC-Card.jpg" width="306" /></a></div>
<br />
Lastly I'll finish up with the cards for my Dad, and my brother, both of which also use My Kind of Guy and Man of the Hour.<br />

<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhu-AP6iWlNcb_XfDykKtv6BH7oF-GJ6SSWOts-aHd8bKsjW4MKPDppNaSFEO5tvaHVIQa6FN6WEQZaRXWMVr0n9bzX-HKTzn7gZFjMamtRCCn1snrkvI3cVQgF7QCI1i1LV58yjQXLXudB/s1600/CD_17.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="185" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhu-AP6iWlNcb_XfDykKtv6BH7oF-GJ6SSWOts-aHd8bKsjW4MKPDppNaSFEO5tvaHVIQa6FN6WEQZaRXWMVr0n9bzX-HKTzn7gZFjMamtRCCn1snrkvI3cVQgF7QCI1i1LV58yjQXLXudB/s320/CD_17.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Here's my take on the challenge:</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
MADE IT! :D</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Speaking of making it...I've just started on a self improvement project...so I may post about here from time to time. I've decided it's time to take my body back after not taking care of it pretty much since I became a mom. I signed up for some fitness classes at the martial arts school where my children take class, figuring there's total accountability...I'm Irish, so I'm naturally guilty, lol. I took my first two classes this past Friday, and it was INTENSE for someone as out of shape as I am -- BUT -- I made it through the first class (hour of upper body) and made it part of the way through the second (hour of lower body). I made it farther than I expected, truthfully, but am glad to get going. My muscles are still sore today, though I can finally walk down a set of stairs without wanting to cry ;). I go back this Friday for more, and I'll update more on where I go from there :). </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br />Thanks for popping by! Have a great week!!</div>

So, 2013 is shaping up to be a banner year! LOTS of Weddings and BABIES BABIES BABIES!!! My husband and I have 20 nieces and nephews, and this year, we'll have 2 more! One nephew has already arrived, and the other will be here in a few short weeks! It's nice to have little babies in the family again, the last ones were my little one who is 5, my nephew (on my side) who is 5, and my niece (on DH's side) that will be 5 in a few weeks. We also have a bunch of friends all expecting -- it's so exciting - I LOVE IT! <br />
<br />
Well, tonight we had a little "sprinkle" for my sister-in-law and brother-in-law. It's been a while since they've had a baby, and we want to make sure the new little guy has all he needs! Another sister in law found these cute bubble gum tubes, and I offered to make new tags for them, because the ones that came on them were kind of...well...lame.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiOfIFK_ExgiDkYmBP2ktUWWrFOh5A2Z-qpgv2QeueWgNl1V09N4l8Xyq0CHa8VNmeunX4qxr39IG1cChbiJRZYmTMA0CXANPhWmQn8lZSg6MCfxAshBPkCtMWjygbCSiISBA8w9V9tHgMa/s1600/644581_10201058334320954_1189254615_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiOfIFK_ExgiDkYmBP2ktUWWrFOh5A2Z-qpgv2QeueWgNl1V09N4l8Xyq0CHa8VNmeunX4qxr39IG1cChbiJRZYmTMA0CXANPhWmQn8lZSg6MCfxAshBPkCtMWjygbCSiISBA8w9V9tHgMa/s400/644581_10201058334320954_1189254615_n.jpg" width="297" /></a></div>
<br />
So, I sat down at the computer, and made myself a template of a bunch of 1.75" circles, and made a computer generated sentiment "We're bubbling with excitement for new baby "K"!" and printed them out. I broke out the Cuttlebug, and cut out all of the circles, along with the outer die cut shape, in red. I stamped the single largest dot from Polka Dot Basics I (Papertrey Ink) stamping off once, in a few different colors, and added the "shine" with my sakura white glaze pen. mounted them to the red scalloped circles, and then tied them on with some silver stretchy cord I got from SU! ages ago. They came out really cute I think -- and could work for a bunch of different occasions -- with bubbles even, if you don't want to give something sugary (good call Alicia!!)<br />
<br />
Thanks for popping by today!<br />
