Well HEEEEELLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO out there :)
I'm here today to talk about the 'Just Us Girls' challenges.
The first challenge was last week -- a sketch. Each week a different team member will host a challenge, and this week, Pam is the host on the 'Just Us Girls' blog, and here's the Challenge:
The 'girls' asked me to be a part of their team, and I'm proud to play along side this talented group of women.
Here's my card for this week's challenge:
The image and sentiments are from a set called 'Girls Night Out' by My Favorite Things. Kim's sets are GREAT for paper piecing. I used a few of the sentiments to make a patterned paper for the Berry Sorbet layer. punched the bottom edge with my apron lace border punch, added some ribbon and a charm, and voila! Cute and simple (well, except for the cutting for the paper piecing!)
Be sure to check out the challenge blog -- there's lots of info there, including a schedule of upcoming challenges, links to the rest of the team, the Mr. Linky to link YOUR projects (use keyword JUGS2) and a CAH-UTE blinkie to grab for your blog too!
Looking forward to seeing what YOU create!
great job with that MFT set and the technique. Love what you did!
ReplyDeleteYou chose a great stamp to paper piece, I agree! This is so pretty and I just LOVE the colors you chose! Great ribbon treatment, too!
ReplyDeletePretty card Tracey! Great job with the paper piecing challenge! Your card makes me want to get together with a girlfriend & share a glass of Merlot! I feel very fortunate to be on the JUGS DT with you & all the other JUGS DT girls! :)
ReplyDeleteOh this is so cute Tracey! I love the sassy going out shirts you paper pieced. I think if I dig deep, I have a couple of those in my closet somewhere! LOL If I find one, I'll meet you for a GNO OK?
ReplyDeleteOOOOh Tracey - the first thing that caught my eye was the CHARM - I have not used a charm on a card in a long time and forgot just how "charming" it can be. This card is perfect for a Just Us GIRLS challenge LOL. I'm tickled pink that you used some pink, too. Great to have you on the team - rock on!! Hugs n smiles.
ReplyDeleteTracey!!! I LOVE your card! You are so right, her images are perfect for paper piecing! I LOVE the paper you used for the ladies' shirts and I LOVE LOVE LOVE how you pieced the ladies in front of the brown swirly paper!! That was sooo clever! Oh, and the wine looks good enough to drink :) Save me a glass, girly!
ReplyDeleteLove it!
