Hi....my name is Tracey...

I thought I'd re-introduce myself, since I've been away so long!  LOL.  Sorry for my extended absence, life has been a bit crazy here, sick kids, sick me, Thanksgiving...it's all a big blur, but thankfully everyone is healthy, Thanksgiving was great, and we're off to a good start toward Christmas!

It's Thursday -- and that means it's Pink Cat digi release day!

I used the Lily Winter Princess image...

I decided to mix things up a bit, and use chocolate and raspberry for my color combo.  I used liquid applique on the 'fur' trim of Lily's cape, and put some white and chocolate pearls in her hair, and on her crown.

The ribbon was pleated on my card front using some scor tape, and then I just zipped it through my sewing machine to secure it.  Added an adorable little ribbon flower with a button to finish off the center.

Be sure to stop by and SHOP - there's lots of great images out there that Melissa has done -- including some cute Christmas ones if you still haven't designed your cards yet... :).

I have my design in my head, but haven't put it to paper yet.  I really need to do that - and get them done! lol.  I have to say though, I'm in a pretty good place, the house is decorated, tree is up, shopping is near 90% complete...I just have gifts to make, and my cards...

A-HA -- I need  you all to help me... I've heard that at some houses, Santa doesn't wrap gifts...Santa has always left wrapped gifts at my house, unless it is too big to wrap...I'm thinking with everyone 'going green'...maybe Santa could add our house to the list of 'non-wrapped'...tell me your thoughts on this -- does Santa bring wrapped gifts to your house, or not???  Curious to know what's going on out there...to sweeten the deal (and hope that you all will answer) I'll offer up a digi image from PCS as a little "thank you" to a randomly selected commenter on this post!

So ---

1. Tell me if Santa brings you wrapped or not wrapped gifts, and why
2. Go to Pink Cat Studio's digi store and SHOP...
3. Go check out what the rest of the team has done this week
4. Have a SUPER day!!!

  1. For our house Santa wrapped presents is tradition. He brought them to my brother and I wrapped and he brings them to Ethan wrapped. It's the anticipation and wonder of what's under that wrapping...it's part of our Christmas.

  2. Oh, Tracey, I love Lily's golden cape against the bright pink. What a fabulous idea! BTW, Santa brings our gifts wrapped, too, and we always recycle the paper but we've heard he's switching to felt reusable bags this year. ;)

  3. BEAUTIFUL card!!!! I love the colors and the ribbon is just gorgeous!!!

I can not even imagine Santa not wrapping the presents!!!! Santa always wrapped my presents as a child, and he continues to wrap them for my children and grandchildren. I just feel that part of the fun is the suprise when it is unwrapped and seeing the looks on the kids faces when they open that special gift.

  4. Hi Tracey!!! Love your card, the colours are fabby! Santa has never wrapped gifts in my house. When I was a little girl, it was exciting to go downstairs and see all the gifts under the tree........was great because I could play while waiting for breakfast and for the official gift opening when extended family arrived later in the day!

  5. Tracey, Lily is precious! Love your coloring. Glad to hear everyone is feeling better. My 4 yo has walking pneumonia right now, so not so fun at my house! As far as gifts, Santa only leaves one unwrapped gift per kid each year. Half the fun is unwrapping and it being a surprise. Besides, what would our family throw at each other during the whole festivities if there was no paper to ball up? ~Tori

  6. Hi Tracey!! Awww, your Lily princess is so pretty in pink. You made her come to life with your beautiful coloring. Well, Santa don't bring wrapped gifts but have the UPS elves drop them off in huge boxes then we have the resident elves wrap the gifts and put them under the tree. . .:)

  7. Tracey wonderful card, your winter princess is precious. Sanata wrapped gifts for my brother & I and he wraps them for my kids as well. I havegone "green"in most everything I do, but this is just to special for us, so santa will continue to wrap.

  8. He always wrapped gifts for us. Maybe the big ones were covered with a sheet or something. I think if you don't wrap them it takes the excitement out of it.. Kinda like finding out what the sex of your baby is before they are born. ;-)

  9. Tracey, I love what you did with the Lily image. I'm going to have to get some more PCS images. Melissa is coming out with some really, really cute ones. As for Santa, well, he's always wrapped gifts at our house unless they were really big and the kids just got into the stockings while mom & dad slept in.

Santa leaves wrapped gifts at our house - makes them wonder and its an awesome look to see on the faces when they see all the wrapped gifts under the tree.
