From My House to Yours...

Hi everyone!

Thanks for all of the sweet comments on yesterday's post -- I'm sure it had nothing  to do with the giveaway, right?? lol.  Seriously though, I do appreciate and read every comment you leave -- and most often try to reply back, if you leave your e-mail address.  Don't forget, the contest is open until Friday night, 11:50pm EST, so if you missed out yesterday, you still have time to post a comment and have a chance to win a copy of the Sure Cuts a Lot software!

Sure Cuts a Lot is a HUGE timesaver.  HUGE.  My template pieces are cut in NO time, and the program really allows for you to be able to get the most out of your paper.  Lauren has to create all of her pdf files to ensure that when printing, it will fit all of the pieces on the paper, but I always hated that 'extra' paper that didn't get used.  By using my Cricut with the SCAL software, it's great - I can SEE exactly where it's going to cut on my mat - and the software allows me to 'break up' some pieces, so I can place them else where on the mat, in order to get the most out of one sheet of paper.  I realize this may be hard to visualize, so I will try to put together a little tutorial in coming days...

Template assembly is a NO BRAINER now that My Time Made Easy makes it even EASIER for those of us with an electronic cutter!  For those of you that don't have one yet - put it on every wish list, and see what you can do to get your hands on one :).

I'm sure if you've made it this far, you're just BEGGING for me to get on with my project for today.  (I would be too ;) ).  Today's project uses the new template, You've Got Mail - it coordinates perfectly with the stamp set of the same name, released yesterday, over at My Time Made Easy.

I decided that I would use some acetate on my project today - and made the front of the mailbox clear, so you can see the goodies inside -- some Hugs & Kisses.  The acetate was stamped with red and white Staz On inks, using the little envelope and heart elements from You've Got Mail, and the border along the bottom of the front of the mailbox is my favorite pattern from Argyle Amazement

The tag I made to coordinate uses the Love Notes Pretty Pieces die cuts and has the sentiment 'From my - to your' placed with the house image.  I repeated the argyle pattern along the bottom of my tag, to tie it in with the mailbox, but this time I colored the pattern in to make it stand out.

Instead of trying to figure out a clever way to hang the tag from my mailbox, I decided to just tuck it in to the handle up top.  It fits in there nice and snug, and I think it looks pretty cute too, don't you?

The rest of the DT has got MORE eye candy for you today, so be sure to stop around and check them out!!
