Hi Everyone~
The sun is shining. WOW - it's been quite elusive here for much of the month, what a welcome change.
This week's color challenge features Ethan, from the WAY cool Weiman Wranglers set. I'm THRILLED with how well this set has sold...the stamping community is INCREDIBLE, my thanks goes out to all of you, Ethan is smiling down, I'm sure...which brings me to...I heard a funny knock knock joke the other day...
"Knock knock"
"who's there"
"cow say"
"cow say who?"
"Noooooo, cow's say MOO!!"
pretty good, right?
Here's the colors for this week's challenge :
I got this GREAT digital scrapbooking kit from Scrap Girls, called 'Cowboy' by Cheryl Barber...it's got a lot of fun elements, and GREAT papers...I printed one out to use on my card today. Also my sentiment is one of the embellishments (though I tweaked the color to make it match my project) here it is:
The sentiment says 'Cowboys don't bathe, they dust off'...I really liked that, and made Ethan a little 'dirty' by using a little creamy caramel ink on the end of a qtip.
The rest of the team has cooked up some GREAT stuff, so be sure to stop by and show them some love! Here's the links:

FINALLY - a Raspberry Suite Challenge!!
I have been wanting to play along with my friend Dawn's challenges for some time now, but life and other commitments kept getting in the way. Well, not today my friends!! FINALLY, I got to play along (and in time too!) with Dawn's latest challenge!
She always finds such fun and fresh combos. I did play along last week, but didn't get my card done in time, I'll include it at the bottom of this post...
So, without further adieu, here is my card for this week's challenge:
I needed to make a card for a co-worker who recently had surgery. I LOVE that branch image from Beyond Basic Borders (would you all be ashamed if I told you I HAD to have that set, just for that one image??? I like the others too, but that one really had me hooked) Now-it's a little hard to tell, but the base layer and the stamped sentiment are in Berry sorbet, and all of those yummy buttons are melon berry...mmmm delish, right?
Here's my card for LAST week's challenge -- which was this:
Remember the wedding invitations I made??? Well, Saturday was the wedding, and even though it rained...A LOT, it was a beautiful wedding. I needed a card for the bride and groom. I thought this one up while sitting at work last Wednesday, but didn't get to actually put it to paper until Friday night...what do you think??
This uses that great big flourish from the With Sympathy set, and the Celebrate Sentiment is from Out on a Limb Sentiments. The flowers are my favorite little confetti flowers from M's, finished off with some flat back swarovski's, just like the invitations. The black border on the New Leaf layer is 1/4" black grosgrain ribbon, and the panel with the focal image is on dimensionals...
Before I go, thought I'd share a little photo of me and the hubby from the wedding
Thanks for stopping by!!!
Supplies:
Raspberry 10 card:

Raspberry 9 card:

Ink: Brilliance Graphite Black
Paper: Curious Iridescent 'Poison Ivory' CS, New Leaf (PTI)

Weiman Wranglers - a new twist!
Hi all~
Hoping you're all having a great day. The sun is actually shining here -- it seems like FOREVER since we've had more than an hour of sun. On the news last night, they said for the first 21 days of June, 17 of them were rainy. BLECH, but our grass is green, and our reservoirs full, so for that I am grateful.
Enough about the weather...did you not just LOVE all of the projects you've seen using Ethan and Ava??? WOW! Is all I can say!!
I have 2 more projects for you today, this first one is a bright, happy little number, using Ava.
The base is Raspberry Fizz from PTI, and on that is a layer of Only Orange from SU! On that layer, I created a patterned paper using 2 stamps, one from MFT's Ride 'em Cowgirl, and the other from The Cat's Pajamas, It's a Western Thing. The seniment was sized to fit in my 1" circle punch, and it is layered on a piece of Raspberry Fizz that was cut using my Nestabilities Labels 3 dies.
I added some bling to her outfit, like the show cowgirls might, with some 'rhinestones' on her belt, along her hat band, and down her leg...(using my sakura stardust pen)
This next one is a bit different. I made a digital scrapbook page of my daughter, and colored in Ava digitally in Photoshop Elements. It was my first time doing this, but I think it turned out ok. I'm sure I have LOTS more to figure out with that, but I had fun doing this one.
Thank you to all that have purchased the images...in just a little over 24 hours of sales, they have raised over $900!!! That is FABULOUS!!! Way to go!
Also - a big shout out to Susanna Boyd from Papercraft Planet, who has so awesomely put this as top billing on the PCP home page.
A big HIGH FIVE to you all!!!
Have a super day --

Two Posts today!
Be sure to see my second post featuring Cowboy Ethan and Cowgirl Ava - and links on how to get a chance to win a GC to Pink Cat Studio!!
Digital Stamping 101...my way
Hey all -
I know I said tomorrow - but figured I wouldn't wait, this may help answer some questions.
Given the WONDERFUL big news from Pink Cat Studio, we want these digi-images of Cowboy Ethan and Cowgirl Ava to sell BIG, so if any of you have ANY concerns about digital stamps, I'm hoping to put you at ease.
Never given digi-stamps a try?? It's really not so bad. I use Photoshop Elements 7 for all of my photo and digi-scrapping/stamping needs, but there are great free programs like Picasa, or I know some of my colleagues on the Dustin Pike DT even use MS Word to drop their images into...
This can be super easy, or if you know your way around your photo editing software, you can make it more 'interesting' if you will.
Basics:
You've got this file - now what?
Download your file, and save it someplace you will remember. I have a folder named "Digital Stamps" and then sub folders by company "Pink Cat Studio", "CC Designs", "Dustin Pike" etc. That way, when I go back to print out again, I know EXACTLY where to look.
Go ahead and open your file. If you have photo software, great, if not, that's ok too, you can open up the image in the picture viewer, copy it and paste it into Word, or another word processing program.
You can go ahead and print right now...wasn't that easy? I thought so ;).
Now, you certainly CAN get more involved and actually layer images together -- such as my Ethan and Ava card shown here. I liked how when I use the .png files with transparent backgrounds, I'm able to place the images right next to one another. At this stage, I can also add a drop shadow it's kind of fun, to get the images to pop off the page a little...if you tried this with a jpeg, or another file without a transparent bg, you'd have a white 'box' around the image.
Let's see, do you want to know some COOL things about digi stamps??
So - here's my background: (click on thumbnails for a larger view)
Isn't that cute? See the 'checkered' area?? That's all transparent, so anything you 'layer' with it, will not be blocked by the background (I haven't lost you , have I?? I hope not...I'm trying not to be too wordy...
OK-- so, you've got your background, and you want cowboy Ethan to be outside of the gate... open up Ethan, copy him, and paste him into your 'scene...it will look like this:
(notice that tiny bit of drop shadow?? ) If you look on the right of the screen shot, you'll see the 'Layers' of my scene. Layer 0 is the background...Layer 1 is Ethan. These are independent from one another -- think back to old school animation --same kind of principle...now onto the next step...let's add Cowgirl Ava, and have her coming up to the gate, from behind it...
(oh hey -- look I have an update! -- sorry about that) If you take a look over at that layers palette on the right -- you'll see the order top to bottom is 1-0-2. By putting layer 2 at the bottom, it layers it behind the background - putting Ava behind the gate, on her way to meet Ethan for a ride together. Now you can print and color -- all set!
I use an inkjet printer - no need to have a laser printer, though if your printer does not have a pigment cartridge, I've heard spraying your image with a sealer, or heat setting will help if you experience running when coloring. I have a pigment cartridge and color with Copics, and have never had an issue with running at all.
That wasn't too bad, was it?? I've never written a 'tutorial' before, so hope I didn't make things too confusing. Please feel free to post any questions you might have, I'm more than happy to answer as best I can.
One last thing before I go --
Have you gotten an image where the background wasn't transparent??? This is how I 'fix' my images (and again, not the only way, or even perhaps considered the 'right' way, but it works for me ;) ).
Here's Ethan - with the white Background...on the layers palette -- you might see a lock on the layer -- I double click on that, and it unlocks the layer, and you can change this, instead of adding other layers, etc. The next thing you'll do, is click on the 'Quick Selection Tool' (In PSE7 it looks like a little magic wand with a dotted box at the top). You'll see along the top of the screen, that you can change the size of the brush -- as well as some other items, like a deselect tool, in the event that too much of the image gets selected.
Now what you'll do, is click in that white space surrounding the image -- keep clicking, until it looks something like this:
Then head up to the menus up top -- click 'Edit' then 'Cut'. And POOF! Your image will look like this:
Recognize that checkered bg?? Now all you need to do, is click, 'File', then 'Save As...' and select .png as the file type. Then you're all set! Build your scenes, or just print your individual images...either way - HAVE FUN with it.

- you can flip your images, make a mirror, without having to use that special mirror stamp ;)
- you can RESIZE your images to compliment your project. Larger or smaller, it's all up to YOU.
- you can build a scene, without masking...can you IMAGINE??? Yep - the beauty of digi stamps...
So - here's my background: (click on thumbnails for a larger view)

Make-A-Wish for the Weiman Wranglers!!
Can I get a YEE-HAW?!?
I'm so happy to be able to share this GREAT news with you all!
Melissa from Pink Cat Studio was approached by Lauren Meader to design a set in honor of Ethan Weiman. Melissa eagerly accepted the request, and got to work on some WONDERFUL images. TODAY, these images are available to YOU, and ALL proceeds from these images will go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Illinois, in honor of Ethan.
Please note -- these are digital images, NOT stamps.
I'd like to introduce you to Cowboy Ethan, and Cowgirl Ava, The Weiman Wranglers!!
The best part?? For the Ethan, Ava, and the two sentiments...it's just $6.00 (USD)!!! I think that is a GREAT price, for such adorable images. Click HERE to read more from Melissa, and from Alicia as well (oh and don't forget to fill your cart while you're there too ;) ).
The card I've prepared for today features both Ethan and Ava, and I call it "Ethan and Ava Ride Again"
Look at how the ballon strings make an upside down heart...isn't that cute? Now -- Some of you may be new to digital images, or perhaps, intimidated by them...PLEASE don't be. I have a tutorial scheduled for tomorrow that explains how easy it can really be, and it also goes into more detail to show some versatility of digital stamping...but for today, just take my word for it, ok?? ;)
The sentiment is from Winter Lily and Billy, I thought it was really fitting for this card. I used my labels 4 Nestabilities to cut it out, and outlined it with my gold paint pen.
The images were colored with my Copics, and there's some crystal effects on the balloons...
Be SURE to check out what these ladies have created with these adorable new images, you're in for a treat!
Please visit Lauren's and Vicki's blogs to read about how you can win.
Thanks for stopping by!!

It's My Time to Create BUTTON Storage!
Hi all~
It's been a miserable dreary week here in NY. Wet, wet, and more wet...I think I'm permanently waterlogged ;). Listen, don't forget, we're still collecting money for the Weiman family, see this post for more information. Click on the widget in my sidebar to donate today!
It's Saturday -- so you all know what that means, it's time for a My Time to Create Challenge! The 3rd Saturday of each month is a Timeless Template Challenge -- so BREAK out those templates, and get creating...NO excuses, there are some FOR FREE over on the PTI website, go get one, and play along!
I've been buying all those pretty buttons from Papertrey Ink, as well as the square Trendy Tubes to store them in...but where to put the tubes??? They had been standing on a small double shelf next to my desk, propped against the wall, but I wanted something a little more substantial, like a container of sorts.
Lauren's templates are so versatile, and well constructed, I figured ONE of them had to work for me...so I went through the ones I have, and 'From the Desk of' is PERFECT! Did you know, that it will fit 5 trendy tubes across, in two perfect rows??? That's enough room to store 10 colors of buttons (and if you make a 2nd template and put them together back to back, there's room for 20!)
The challenge this week was to make a template using your own patterned paper. I love to use the Borders and Corners Circles set to make patterned paper. This time around, I used the colors that I have buttons of on the paper, and just stamped the different circles randomly all over the white cardstock.
I made a little label, in case no one knows the contents ;). Finished it off with a few buttons, what more perfect embellishment is there for button storage?
So tell me, have YOU employed any of these templates to organize your craft area?? I can see myself using more, like the perfect match box to create more storage for my area. Let me know your thoughts, I'd love to hear them.
Also, be sure to stop by the rest of the team's blogs, those who are participating in this week's challenge are in bold type.

Have a great weekend!

WHOOO HOO - and a Dustin Pike Release
Hey all!
WOWZA -- what a great day I had yesterday. Our Drum Corps had a little release party for our CD's last night. I'm SO happy that this project is finally all said and done! I know the music isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I'm proud of it. Also, I took the cover photo, and did a lot of the graphics work for the booklet, so it was nice to see it all put together in the final product...wanna see??
Then -- I get home, and log in to SCS, to see my friend Staci posted a link to Nichole Heady's blog, where MY card is the Guest Star Stamper winner for last month - for use of Stars...WOW! Plus I had my money bouquet get an honorable mention in the template category...cloud 9 I tell you...what an honor! Just had to share that happy news -- A HUGE thank you to Nichole for picking my projects, I know it wasn't an easy choice!
Now -- onto the REAL reason for my post...it's Thursday -- time for some Dustin Pike love.
This week's images are all based on outer space. Lots of fun...here are my projects:
This first one incorporates the freebie for this week as well...
I flipped the moonscape vertically, and moved it off of the 'field' so that only part of it was showing. I didn't add any embellishments, and kept the layout simple, these projects were more about the digi images themselves than all that other stuff.
What I like about digi-images...you can build your scene without masking...it's GREAT! Those stars are another background that Dustin is making available today. LOVE them -- I also flipped my dragon image...I just wanted to be different, go against the grain -- and show off some versatility too.
This next one is cute and simple, but I like it alot.
I've seen this sentiment elsewhere, and thought it would make a cute 'just because' card for someone special. The sentiment was generated on my computer -- laid a text box right over the starry background...and is that Star just ADORABLE or what??? I couldn't get a good closeup of it, but I colored over the little guy with my spica glitter pen, and then covered him in crystal effects, and he's mounted on a double layer of dimensionals...
So tell me - what's something good that happened to you today?? I like to hear the happy stuff.
Thanks for stopping by!!

Cowboy Ethan...
I write this post with a heavy heart...I received the news tonight that Alicia Weiman's 4 year old son Ethan, has been called home. I am glad in one sense, that he will no longer suffer, and that he will be free of pain, and in a place that is so wonderful, yet I grieve for his family.
I can't imagine what they are going through right now, how devastating to lose someone so young, to such a rotten, dreadful disease.
Krisitn Bueter has set up a paypal account on behalf of the My Time to Create Challenge Team, to accept donations for the Weiman family. If you are interested in donating, click on the widget in my sidebar. Of course, the family can use as many prayers as you can spare for them.
I made this tonight, in honor of Ethan. I colored him in a similar fashion to my favorite photo that Alicia shared of Ethan in this blog post. What a HAPPY picture, right? I love it, and that's how I'll chose to see Ethan, now, at home in heaven...kicking up his heels, and having a GREAT time.
God Bless you and keep you Ethan...
God Bless the Weiman family...

Need Some Inspiration??? Come and Play!!
Hi all - and HAPPY SATURDAY! It's 'supposed' to be a beautiful day here, we'll see...I just saw on the news that out of the last 42 days, 26 of them have been rainy...I'm feeling a little waterlogged.
So, it being Saturday, we all know that means it's time for another My Time to Create Challenge. Lauren is swamped with the Papertrey release as well as end of school projects, so Kristin is hosting the challenge this week!
Here's my take on the challenge:
I used ribbon to make the 'carpet' I wrapped alternating strips of ivory satin, and spring moss twill around a piece of white CS. Now the buttons...I didn't have buttons in all of the colors that I wanted/needed. I did have the red and the yellow, but the blue and green I was stuck.
I looked all around, and realized "DUH" your COPICS can make you any colored button you WANT silly! So that's what I did...made me realize life would be easier with the airbrush system, but I broke out my spritzer tool, and that worked just fine! So there you have it -- custom colored buttons, what do you think??
Be sure to stop by the other girls' blogs and show them some love...here's a peek of what they've been up to:
Here's links to the team -- the ladies in bold font are the ones who were able to play along this week.

It's Another Dustin Pike Release!!
Sooooo, it's Thursday, and that means we've stumbled upon another Dustin Pike release! Lots of cute stuff this week, be sure to stop by the store and buy buy buy - he really gives GREAT deals...
My first project this week is using this great life saver image. I printed it out on white CS, and colored it in. Then I used my hobby blade, and cut out the middle, and the areas between the ropes and the ring. I mounted this layer on an Aqua Mist (PTI) base, and stamped the sentiment (from Star Prints, PTI) in the center, using Palette Noir ink.
Placed a few red stitched ribbon tabs and some crystal effects on the red parts of the image, and I'm done :). This would be great to give someone who helped you out of a jam, don't you think??
This next one is a gift for my Brother-in-law and his wife. They are hosting a crawfish boil at their house this weekend. This rope frame seemed perfect to fit with the theme of the event -- they can put a fun photo taken on Saturday inside.
The words were all done using my Just-Rite Times New Roman font set - and the rectangular Harmony blocks. LOVE them - and don't use them often enough!
So what are YOUR plans for this weekend??? As you can see, you know what I'm doing on Saturday -- Sunday should be quiet at home (I hope!)
Thanks for stopping by today -- I'll be back Saturday with another My Time to Create Challenge -- see you then!!!

Just Because...
I went to my friend Rebecca's blog, commnented on some recent layouts...and she asked when I was going to do some digi-scrap...
I had done a few projects recently, but hadn't posted them here. They were both posted on the Stampin' Out Alzheimer's site -- did you know that they raised OVER $6,000??? That's AWESOME! Glad I got to play along with some of the FABULOUS challenges...ahem, sorry, I go out on tangents now and then ;)
Soooooo, here's a project I made and gave to my Mom -- Now mind you, I actually made her a cool shadow box frame with fun jungle chipboard letters, but never took a picture of it...shame on me, before I gave it to her, so I 'edited' my digi page to incorporate the rest of what I had to say...
I had gotten all of these funny faced pictures of my nieces and nephews (on my side of the family) and thought it would be hysterical to make a page of these faces, instead of catching the perfect smile, or posed shot...they are ALL so silly.
The kit is "Monkey Do" by Mindy Terasawa...
Onto my next creation...
This was from a FABULOUS free digi kit (Flip Flop Tan by Libby Weifenbach) that was given to all of the SOA participants...I did a little page of some of our 'staycation' photos from last summer.
This is such a fun kit, with lots of bright colors, and super fun elements...
So tell me, do you digiscrap??? If not, is there a reason you don't? Don't like it, afraid to try it?? Tell me, I'd love to know. Also - love tips and tricks for PSE if you have some to share :)
I think I'd like to work a little more on my digiscrappin' skills this Summer...adding it to my list of goals.
Hope everyone has a great day!! Be on the lookout for a Dustin Pike peek!!!

Better late than never...
I've been stuck in a creative rut -- mostly because it was a CRAZY week.
I did get to do Lauren's sketch for today, though not UNTIL today, so here I am... this is Lauren's sketch:
I strayed a little bit -- and I also had to spread it out a bit too...what I had chosen wouldn't fit all the way over on the side.
Here's my take on the sketch:
I had gotten this great paper up in Manchester last month - and finally broke into it :). This is for my friend's daughter, whose sweet sixteen party is today. The sheer blossom was dressed up a little using an image from Fancy Flourishes in White Stazon, and then a pop of color added with my shimmery chalks (thanks for the reminder Lauren!). Of course, I realize, I used Raspberry Fizz, because there was a bit of that color in the paper (but it's covered up by the white layer) figures, right? Anyway -- thanks for stopping by today -- hope you get to play along, be sure to use the keyword Mytimess33 when uploading, and add your link to the Mr. Linky on Lauren's blog too!
Here's what the rest of the team did:
