Waltzingmouse Blog Party - think SPRING!

Good Afternoon!! (Well, here anyway!)  It's the 17th, so that means is time for the Waltzingmouse Blog Party!  Yaaaay!  I haven't gotten to play along in quite some time, but this month's theme got me going.  I can't think of Spring, and not think of cute little First Communicants. :)  This year, my big girl, as well as my Nephew (and Godson) will both make their First Holy Communion.

The nephew was born ON St. Patrick's day, so really, how could I NOT use Claire's Celtic Heritage stamp set for his card?? LOL.

The cross image is heat embossed with detail gold embossing powder, and lots of little green gems were added to dress it up a bit.  The sentiment (also from Celtic Heritage) was stamped in Green Galore Ink from SU! - though I'm fairly certain it has been retired.  It looks a little washed out in my photo, but is a nice hearty green.  The roped background is stamped with the braid image from Irish Blessings, in Sahara Sand ink, also from SU!

Looking forward to making the rounds -- thanks for stopping by!!  Wishing you all a marvelous weekend!

Babies...

I ♥ babies...I have two little girls of my very own, and I am SO blessed.  Something about those beautiful little bundles just make me happy.  I can't help it but smile when I see new dads carrying the babies out of the birthing center at the hospital I work in to go home.

Now - there are some things I don't like...

sleepless nights
uncontrollable crying
those first few 'icky' diapers...
oh - and the cord -- WHAT is up with that?!?!  I know it's all "natural" but yeah, still kinda freaks me out.

I've been lucky enough in the last two weeks to get my teeny baby fill, and send them back off to their mamas (who look a bit tired, BTW ;) )

My card today is for one of those beautiful babies.  We had the honor of attending her Christening on Valentine's day, isn't that sweet?  Francesca is a sweet little thing, and her parents are just as wonderful.  I am so happy, as having a child was a far off dream, and thankfully with 1 part science, 2 parts love, and a dash of miracle, Francesa came to be.
I chose the sentiment "Nothing is worth more than this day" from Papertrey Ink's Everyday Blessings, as I felt it was perfect for the occasion.  May God bless and keep Francesca always.

Thanks for stopping by today -- I'll be back Thursday with a Pink Cat release!!!  Stay tuned...

please e-mail me at cuccicoo1002@yahoo.com so I can arrange for your GC!! Congratulations Ladies!!!

Hi all ~
Hope you're off to the start of a great day! I know I am. I'm honored to have been chosen to participate on Lauren Meader's My Time To Create Design Team. I'm looking forward to getting to know the other ladies on the team some more, as well as working with Lauren on her wonderful challenges! Thank you Lauren for thinking I'm worthy ;)

I figured I'd share a Timeless Template project with you. This is the Desktop Organizer template. It's slightly tweaked, as I made the overhang a little shorter, so you could see more of what is in the box. I stamped the sides before the box was assembled. I just am loving the Beyond Basic Borders and New Leaf CS, ink and ribbon right now...can you tell? *wink*
I'm making these for my 3 nieces that are all making their First Holy Communion this Spring. Each one is a little different looks-wise, but this is the packaging. I had originally made a similar project for a friend, but figured I'd post this one, now that I have the right ribbon ;)

I love Lauren's templates, they make everything so EASY! I've got a category on my sidebar just for projects with her templates, take a peek, you'll see what I mean!

Congratulations to my fellow team members, I'm looking forward to working with you!

Now...onto the blog candy...leave me a comment with your favorite template of Lauren's, or one that you'd like to try, and I will pick 2 random people to send a $5 PTI gift certificate to, to go and get another template to try! Comments will close at 11:59 pm EST Wednesday, April 29th, and the winner announced Thursday!

Thanks for stopping by!!

Supplies:

The invites...

Hi everyone! Hope you had a good weekend. I spent the day yesterday SHOPPING! First with my Mom at CKC Hartford, then off to Sam's Club with the fam. So you all heard me talking about those invites forever and ever, figured I'd share them!

I didn't get to take photo's of the final bunch, but here are the ones of the prototype sent to Jamie for her approval. The only difference was we made Thomas' name in script, to set it off from the rest of the text.

The only things stamped on the card are the name on the front (PTI Trajan Monogram) and the cross inside (PTI Everyday Blessings) They weren't that hard to do, but had weird measurements 7 7/8 x 5, so a lot of measuring adn cutting...made 80, plus 80 response cards...but the mom was WAYYY happy, so that's all I can ask for!

Thanks for stopping by!!
