Weddings!

Well heeelloooooooo there!

We've had a CAH-RAAAYYYY- ZZZZYYY September!  Between back to school routines, and birthdays, and weddings, we've been SUPER busy!!  We were invited to 2 weddings, back to back weekends - and I'm POOPED!  It was so nice this past weekend not to have to get all gussied up ;0).

Anyway - for the first wedding (on Sept. 21) I thought I would share some of the things I helped the bride with -- They held their wedding in their back yard, it was rustic, elegant, and comfortable.  I loved how nice it was, though it wasn't a great weather day.

For the guests, everyone got a mason jar mug with a handle to drink from, which also served as their seating arrangement.

The bride's friend made this great sign!
Here are the mugs:
I used my Cricut to cut out the chalkboard labels.  Then 3 of us put the labels on all of the jars, and I wrote the names on allllllllll of the jars, while the other 2 cranked out a WHOLE LOTTA TAGS and a BAJILLION little numbers for the tags, it was a lot of effort, but I think they came out great!  (Yes, the jars are wet, because it was POURING, and blowing in under the tent!

Here are the centerpieces, She cut each and every wine bottle, and I made the table numbers.  They are in the shape of the plate on the front of a motocross bike, as that is one of the groom's favorite things to do.  We used a popular 'racing font' for the numbers -- I made these with my Cricut and Sure Cuts A Lot (I haven't updated my machine, or the software, so I can still use it! yaaaaayyyy lol).

Here's one of my favorite photos I took that day...I had NOTHING to do with this one, but wanted to point out that the flower in the bride's hair was made from her Mom's wedding dress, how cool is that?

Oh - and I did make them a card... just in case you were thinking I didn't, lol.  The girls' dresses were a teal green - more to the green side, but I didn't have anything closer than hawaiian shores, so...

This card was cased from this beauty by Gayatri Murali.  I used PTI's Quatrefoil Cover Plate die to emboss the hawaiian shores layer - and accented it with flat back crystals.  The sentiment is from Beautiful Butterflies.  I loved the design so much, I incorporated it into the card for the other wedding as well.

I'll be back with some photos of wedding number 2 a little later this week :).

Thanks for stopping by!!!

October Reverse Confetti Blog Hop!

Hello October (cooler weather—yay!) and Hello REVERSE CONFETTI Fans! It’s the 8th of the month –Blog Hop time! Are ya’ll ready to savor some sweet inspiration? Grab a cuppa and take some time to enjoy this month’s creative Blog Hop from Reverse Confetti. Last month’s release was all about fall and spooks and today we are inspiring you with projects and cards using those stamps and any other previously released stamps from Reverse Confetti. Along with the Confetti Crew (our fabulous design team), I've also been invited to join in on the action!

The hop started over on the Reverse Confetti blog, and you should have made it here from Val's blog. It would be worth your while to start at the beginning of the hop, so you don’t miss a thing. We have tons of inspiration for you to see using all of Reverse Confetti’s amazing stamp sets!

I've been really getting into the halloween spirit around here, starting to decorate, and think of costumes and such.  How about you?  I decided to use Spooky Cuties and Spooky Sentiments for my card today.  Last time, I used the cauldron for a pot of gold, but today, I used it for it's original intention, a bubbling pot of witch's brew.  I used clear EP, and cut out the image on some dark gray CS.  it's mounted with dimensionals.  The sentiment is also heat embossed, and I used some peal accents for the 'bubbles'.  For a little extra dazzle, I brought in that fun sparkly spider and web in the corner, I picked them up at M's the other day.

I hope you’ve enjoyed hopping with us today. Be sure and hop with us on the 8th of EVERY MONTH for more REVERSE CONFETTI inspiration! Now it’s time to hop on over to Susan’s blog. If you get lost along the way, you can find the hop order and list of all the participating designers below or over on the Reverse Confetti blog.

Comments are open until Thursday, October 10th at 2pm CST, and the winner will be announced on the Week in Reverse post on the 11th over on the Reverse Confetti Blog!

BUT WAIT -- just a few things before you hop along though, just to keep you “in the know”…

Reverse Confetti Release and Blog Hop!

It’s finally here—a new release from REVERSE CONFETTIIt’s the 8th of the month, and this time we are looking forward to those fall days and the spooky treats that come our way for Halloween.  Come and hop along with the Confetti Crew as we share some creative ideas using September’s FIVE new trendy stamp sets.  Along with the Confetti Crew (the fabulous design team), I've also been invited to join in on the action!  As a 'Fetti Fave, I received the entire release FOR FREE, and got to sneak peek projects along with the design team -- thanks again to Jen and the rest of the Confetti Crew for the awesome opportunity!

The hop started over on the Reverse Confettiblog, and you should have made it here from Val’s blog. It would be worth your while to start at the beginning of the hop, so you don’t miss a thing. We have tons of inspiration for you to see using all the new Reverse Confetti stamp sets!

Here are the new sets that are available NOW!

I have just a few more projects I'd like to share with you today -- hope you like them!  Here is the full shot of the card at the top of my post - which uses Count Your Rainbows, and the cauldron from Spooky Cuties, thought it made a great pot of gold, as well!

Next up, a couple that use Forever Fall.  This first one is going to a friend who is stationed in Uganda right now.  I've got a few goodies in a box ready to go, and this will be included in the package for her.

Our servicemen and women can never hear these words enough.  I learned earlier today of the death of a soldier in Afghanistan whose hometown is not far from here, and it is always a reminder of how much these men and women are willing to give up for our freedom.  I stamped and embossed the heart image on red, white, and blue CS, and then cut them free-hand.  A little red and white twine finished this one off.

This next one is just sweet, fun, and totally simple.

A little copper embossing for the sentiment, and some more baker's twine.

And LAST, but not least - one more Halloween card, using Spooky Cuties and Spooky Sentiments:

I made the scene on some purple CS, using the fence and little black cat images, embellished with a moon made from a circle punch, and some die cut teeny tiny stars, plus some stickles for a little extra twinkle.  The 'October 31' was stamped and embossed on a little banner, and the numbers filled in with some more stickles.

Thank you all sooo much for coming along with me this week, I hope you've enjoyed my projects as much as I have enjoyed making them, and that maybe you'll stop by now and then and say hi!

I hope you’ve enjoyed hopping with us today. Be sure and hop with us on the 8th of EVERY MONTH for more REVERSE CONFETTI inspiration! Now it’s time to hop on over to Susan’s blog. Countdown to Confetti - Day 3!

WHEW!  It's been a while since I've worked a release liked this - so much fun!  So grateful for the opportunity :)

Here are today's peeks -- We're ALL about Halloween here.  I decorate the house every Halloween, but not creepy gory scary -- fun halloween.

Not a GREAT picture, but we're not decorated yet, so I can't go out and take a new one ;).

Here are the next new Reverse Confetti sets we're sharing with you all today:

SO cute, right?

So here's my first card for today

I had this idea in my head -- kind of like the spotlight idea...the middle pumpkin is in the spotlight, so you can see it all, the other two are in the dark, and can only see their glowing faces...  The sentiment was embossed in white, and I colored over the words with my Copics.

Up next is this fun one

This one is loosely based on the latest Sketch for you to Try.  I made the orange background paper with a few of the sentiments from Spooky Sentiments, and the green strip used elements from both sets.  That little ghost from Spooky Cuties is just that -- CUTE!

Thanks for coming along on this adventure with me!

Be sure to check out the other peeks today, details on the Reverse Confetti Blog!

Also don't forget to leave comments on the designer blogs for your chance to win a $15 Gift Certificate!!  Comments close at noon CST TODAY with the winner announced at 5pm.

See you tomorrow with a few more projects for the big release day!  Yaaaaaaay!

Until Next Time,
Tracey

Countdown to Confetti - Day 2

Thanks for all of the love yesterday on my projects!  I've been having lots of fun, and today the fun continues!  Only 2 more days until you can get these new Reverse Confetti stamps for your very own!

Today, the stamp set being featured is Forever Fall, and I also used Lighthearted Letters:

I've got 2 cards to share with you today - this first one also uses I Like You, but in a non-traditional way.

Do you see it?  I used the line, and the dotted line images to make the pattern on the orange CS.  I made a little mask for the pumpkin, and stamped the acorn next to it.  Aren't those polka dots the cutest??  I think my favorite image in the set is the woodgrain though - you can't see it in this photo, but it has a cute heart shaped 'knot' in the wood.  Love it.  I seem to be using a lot of copper lately, so I dug out my old copper cording from SU! (do any of you still have yours??  I've got the gold and silver, too...I think I'll have them forever! - HA!) anyway, I wrapped it around several times, and tied it in a little bow.

Next up?  My anniversary card!  Done nice and early :)  Luckily, my husband doesn't read my blog, so no spoilers here!

Now for this one, I started with a base of a golden yellow CS, and used my Copics and airbrush to make the background from red to orange to yellow (though I must say, I think I need a compressor -- the air cans get too cold, and the air doesn't work right! :( )  BUT - I digress... I made the background, and then I cut the tree free-hand with my hobby blade.  Took the tree and ran it through my CB with a wood-grain impression plate.  I made the sign using the wood-grain stamp from Forever Fall, and letters from Lighthearted Letters.  I really love that Jen included numbers and characters in the set as well!  There's some of that copper cord again, too, draped over the branch to hold my sign. (kinda crazy to think I'll be married 14 years this year...clearly I'm not old enough for that!)

Here's a close up of the sign

Can you see the heart shaped 'knot' in this one?  really cute.  I finished off the inside of this one - take a peek

Isn't that a great sentiment?  That's pretty much how I feel about him. <3 p="">
Don't forget! Be sure to check out the other peeks today, details on the Reverse Confetti Blog!

Also be certain that you leave a comment on the designer blogs for your chance to win a $15 Gift Certificate!!  Comments close at noon CST on September 7th with the winner announced at 5pm that day.

Thanks again for coming by!!  Hope you have a great day!!

Until Next Time,

Reverse Confetti Sneak Peek #1!!

Can I just tell you how excited I am to be creating alongside the awesome design team at Reverse Confetti for the release this month?  Well, I'm pret-ty darn excited! :)  Lucky me, I was chosen as the 'Fetti Fave for July, and now I get to peek the new sets, too!

The set featured today is called Count Your Rainbows, this will be available for purchase on September 8th from Reverse Confetti.  LOTS of fun sentiments in this one!

This first card uses what I think just may be my favorite sentiment in the set, and a little grouping of stars from Inner Rock Star.  I kept it totally clean and simple.

Next up uses that awesome open letter 'Count' with some Copics.  I heat emossed the sentiment using white ep, and colored in the letters using my RV04, RV17, and RV19 markers, to give a little ombre effect to the letters.  I used the small circle numbers along the strip of raspberry cardstock for a little extra emphasis on the counting ;).

Last, this is probably my favorite project I've made with this set yet.  Yesterday was our first day of school, and time is flying.  I can't believe how grown up my girls are getting!!  I snapped this sweet shot of them waiting for the bus, and looking at it, I thought how lucky I am, and then... this was born:

I made this little 6x6 scrapbook page of the girls, and how lucky and blessed we are that they are so smart, healthy, happy, beautiful and strong.  I count these blessings twice :).  This also incorporates the star image from Inner Rock Star, my glittery girls needed some bling on this page!

Be sure to check out the other peeks today, details on the Reverse Confetti Blog!

Also be certain that you leave a comment on the designer blogs for your chance to win a $15 Gift Certificate!!  Comments close at noon CST on September 7th with the winner announced at 5pm that day.  Good luck!

Thanks for stopping by, be sure to check back tomorrow for more!

Until next time!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY 10 Minute Craft Dash!!!

WHEW!  What a CRAZY few weeks it's been!  Running around like mad, but SO glad, at the very last minute, I was able to participate in the big birthday extravaganza over at the 10 minute Craft Dash!

So, this time around, we are to use a birthday theme, and keep it under 10 minutes... easy, right?  One would think...I started one card, and after getting started, there was NO WAY I was going to complete the card in less than 10 minutes, and then realized I totally messed it up - so off to the garbage that one went, lol.  BUT -- I did get to make this little ditty for the dash --

It was close, but I made it!

Can't wait to get to REALLY go through the entries, I always love to see what everyone can do in 10 minutes!!  So much fun.  Thank you Paulina for starting this challenge, it's my favorite!  Congratulations on your first year!!  Looking forward to the second!

A Facelift!

I've LOVED my blog design for quite some time...but recently I've been getting the itch to switch things up a bit.  I wanted something a little cleaner, with a pop of color - and all of the social networking buttons, etc.  So, what do you think??  I found this great shop on Etsy - called Kreated by Kelsey - and she had some pre-made designs that fit my wants.  I didn't want to spend a ton on a facelift - and she was very reasonable!

I still have some more tweaking to do, but having some friends over for dinner tonight - so it will be over the next few days I'm sure.  I would love to know your thoughts -- do you like the new look?

Tuesday Trigger on Saturday!

I was surfing around a bit earlier this week, and came across the latest Tuesday Trigger challenge, from MoxieFab blogger, Cath Edvalson.  Check out this photo:

I LOVE all of the fun color - and circles.... I went ahead and took the inspiration photo quite literally, and made this:

It kind of reminds me of a watercolor paint palette, I really love the transition from cool colors to warm colors.  I used Bitty Background Blocks II to give the circles a little more texture, and the sentiment is from Trendy Tree Tops.

I added a little bling, and that was it!  A fun little card, I think.  Thanks for popping by!

Stamps: Bitty Background Blocks II, Trendy Tree Tops
Ink: Hawaiian Shores, Enchanted Evening, Aqua Mist, Harvest Gold, Spring Moss, Orange Zest, Summer Sunrise, Melon Berry, Berry Sorbet, Raspberry Fizz, True Black

PTI Blog Hop - July!

Thanks for stopping by!  I had such big plans to make numerous projects for this blog hop, and then last night it dawned on me that the hop was TODAY!  I don't know about you, but Summer has been FLYING by!

Let's get down to business though, shall we??

This month's challenge was to use one of these wonderful color palettes posted on Nichole's blog.  I chose this combo:

I have to admit, Melon Berry is not a color I use often.  Not sure why, but it's just not a color I run to, unlike Hawaiian Shores, or Raspberry Fizz (two of my all time faves!) so this really was a challenge for me.  Unfortunately I needed a Sympathy card, I really should make a few to have on hand, but I guess since it's my least favorite card to have to make, I don't want to make them when I'm playing around for fun, KWIM??

Anyway, here's my card:

I used The Sweet Life, the small butterfly from Natural Beauties, and the sentiment is from Think Big Favorites #3.  The sentiment was stamped once in Melon Berry, and then I offset slightly, and stamped it again, and embossed it in gold.  I used Summer Sunrise and Harvest gold for the roses, and New Leaf (stamped off once for the base image) for the leaves.  Can't wait to hop around and check out all of the entries!  Have a great day!
