So Happy For You...

Good Morning and Happy Saturday to you!!

It's been a crazy week, and on one hand it seems really long, and the other hand, I can hardly believe it's Saturday already...strange, I know, but that's how my mind works!

It's Saturday -- time for another Just Us Girls Challenge!!

Lisa Kind is our challenge hostess this week.  The second Saturday of every month, we do a technique, and Lisa has chosen the Split negative technique (not familiar?  check out the Just Us Girls blog - Lisa has linked some great tutorials!!).  This is one I have never done before, so I was eager to give it a shot!

I grabbed some neglected Papertrey stamps, and got to work.  I think Scattered Showers is a great set for this technique!

To give the focal image a little more prominence, I heat embossed it -- looks so sleek IRL.

I wanted to add a splash of color, and I had this great ribbon from Michaels, that fit the bill perfectly.
I had a lot of fun with this one, and think YOU will too!  Looking forward to checking out this week's creations!

Stop by and show the rest of the girls some love -- you know you want to -- it's VALENTINE'S weekend for goodness sake! :)

Have a super weekend!!!

Supplies:
Stamps: Scattered Showers (Papertrey Ink)
Ink: Fresh Snow, Brilliance Black
Paper: Select White, True Black, Orange Zest, Raspberry Fizz (all PTI)
Accessories: White EP, Clear EP, Ribbon (from Michaels)

I taught this technique when I was a SU! demo and I have totally forgotten about it. This card is gorgeous! Love the punch of color that you added. Thanks for reminding me of the technique.
