Just Us Girls Challenge # 22 - Template Challenge

It's time for another Just Us Girls Challenge -- is it just me, or does it seem like time is FLYING by?!?!  WOW!

We've had some crazy weather here this week -- ice, rain, and it ended with SNOW - lots of it.  We finally got the one big storm I had hoped for -- tho maybe it was just a little too much.  We had a 30+mile stretch of the highway near me shut down for over 15 hours, and lots of people were stranded on the highway...so THAT wasn't cool, but it really looks beautiful outside.

Alright - I know, enough chit chat about the weather...MORE about this week's challenge!!!  Lauren Meader of My Time Made Easy is our sponsor this week - and if your participate in this week's challenge, you'll be entered in to win a free template of your choice from her store!  So, break out those 3D projects people!
Our challenge from Lauren was to use the Under Cover template and one of the Cute Critters files.  Now, she had previously released the Heart Stealer Raccoon and Whooty Love in February -- today, you will see some peeks at new critter files that are being released on Monday -- Bouncing Baby Bunny and Cute Lil Chick.  Really, are these not ADORABLE???

One last thing before my project -- Canda from Candacraft is AMAZING, and is offering a coupon code JUST for our JUGS friends!!!  Now through March 15, use coupon code JUGS315, and you will get 10% off your total order.  She has THE lowest price on the Sure Cuts A Lot software that I've been able to find, and now you can pay even LESS!

Speaking of Sure Cuts A Lot -- that is what I used to make this Bunny -- SOOOO simple.  I decided I wanted to make a see through belly, so you could peek in at the chocolately goodness.  So I lined up the belly cutout onto the sleeve of the Under Cover template, and it took all of the guesswork out of it.  I then stamped a pattern from Argyle Amazement onto some acetate, and adhered it to the inside of the sleeve.  I added a few rhinestones to the pattern for a little extra pizzaz.

Since I didn't want to block the view of the bunny's belly, and make it look like Bunny is getting ready to give a hug, I adhered the arms to the back -- I realize in my photo it looks a little awkward because of the angle, but from straight on, it looks quite cute.

I finished off bunny's ears with some rosebuds, and gave her a little lacy skirt, trimmed with polkadot ribbon.

Show the rest of the team some love -- you know you want to -- they've all done an amazing job!  AMAZING. (Links are in my right sidebar)

I'd like to thank Iwona (Chupa) Palamountain for being an INCREDIBLE guest designer for February!!  This is her last week as Guest Designer - we're going to miss you!

I'll be back tomorrow with a peek of a NEW template from My Time Made Easy -- be sure to come back now, ya hear??? ;-)

Have a GREAT day!

Trace this is just too sweet. Love the acetate for the belly. But the skirt is just fabulous along with those tiny rosebuds. Great job.

I love your project and the see thru belly! Very clever! I have a quick question. I don't have a cutter or SCAL... I use just good old fashioned scissors. Do you think this bunny is something I would be able to do with a professional cutter?!?
