Bouncing Baby Buggy???

It's release day at My Time Made Easy!!  Thank you for taking the time to stop by and see what I have to share with you today :)

Now, I must say, Lauren's Bouncing Baby Buggy Pretty Packaging template is PERFECT for a sweet little baby gift...but what about other uses?  The base of the buggy makes a terrific basket.

I thought I would make a basket that could be used as the centerpiece for the kids table at my hostess' house for Easter this year.

I folded the edge of the base OUT for the basket, and used my border punch from SU! all around the edge...I LOVE this punch, so get used to seeing it - lol.  I fashioned the base out of some chocolate chip colored cardstock from Couture Cardstock.  I resized this template to be a little bigger, just like my umbrella from yesterday's post.  The panels on the front use the 'brown paper bags' color of the NEW Well Woven Pretty Printables papers by Kristin Bueter.  I think this was a perfect addition for my basket - don't you??  The 'plate' on the front of the basket (it reminds me of Longaberger baskets) features a great frame image and sentiment from the NEW! Pretty Impressions set called So Sentimental, this is a VERY versatile and beautiful sentiment set that includes sentiments for the front AND the inside of your cards.  There is also a cut file being offered to cut out that great frame.

Now, as for INSIDE the basket...I had some styrofoam eggs in my stash, and tried to figure out how what I could do to make them worthy of my basket.  I decided that I would cover them in glitter!  Now -- this task should have been handled COMPLETELY different, lol.  I had some spray adhesive, and thought "yeah, I'll spray them, and roll them in the glitter.  Yeah, great idea on paper, but I wasn't quite thinking about protecting my hands when I sprayed the eggs.  I still have some sticky spots, and some glitter permanently adhered to my hands, but hey, who doesn't like a little sparkle, right?  lol.  Note to self, next time USE DISPOSABLE GLOVES!!

They sure are pretty though, aren't they???

Thanks for stopping in, make sure to stop in the rest of the team's blogs today -- there are a few templates being featured today!!  Then...GO SHOP! Really, oodles and oodles of great stuff available for you TODAY over at My Time Made Easy!!

hee hee....my friend says that glitter is the herpes of the crafting world. Once you get it, it NEVER goes away!

I still have glitter in the grout of my kitchen tiles from my daughters 1st birthday. (She's going to be seven next month).

Love your basket - perfect size :-)
